Anna - if it's not your thing, it's not your thing. I dated a guy in college who's friends spent all their time high. He didn't and I didn't, but they were his roommates and we spent way too much time with them. We were late for many things because they had to stop to get high before we could go to a movie, eat dinner, walk the dog... whatever. Eventually, I dropped him and his friends. You shouldn't waste your life choosing to do stuff you hate. There's enough stuff we hate that we have to do (pay bills, work.)

And I'll just over the chicken plucking comment.

My daughter and a bunch of her HS and college friends went to the largest university in Maine last night for some Halloween 'fun.' I was very glad to see her come home today. You can't help but worry a little. OMG some of their costumes.

He is just so awesome!... He got to go out and start "mowing" the grass today! We have actually not mowed the two fields out here because we knew he was coming. Talk about a horse in paradise, he was out there standing knee-deep in grass! I just went down to settle him in for the night and he was already back in his stall area so I just closed the gate and gave him his hay. I want to give him a solid week to settle in here before I do so, but I can't wait to take him out for a ride!

I know--a friend of mine's son wore a Richard Simmons costume last year. I was shocked at it, not to mention what the girls had on.

He sounds like he's got the perfect home now. And I'll say it again--you made the perfect choice: if I had a choice between a horse and Disney, I'd choose the horse every time.
