Well there are a few reasons. Mainly, I am always busy with schoolwork. I honestly don't have time to be in a relationship. Neither of us really has the time to be committed. At this point in my life I really just don't need a "boyfriend".

Secondly, i'm not judging him but every time we hang out with his friends they're always high. I don't just mean Marijuana. Everyone here does it recreationally so it's not a big deal to me but I made the decision that it's just not for me. I don't want to have to be high to hang out with him. It's really not fun to be the third wheel in the group because you don't do drugs. It's not my scene and he should find someone who doesn't mind that kind of thing. I don't like feeling pressured.

Last night was sort of the final straw. I just felt uncomfortable hanging out in the group while they were all on acid The night was really crappy and I just headed out early. I don't know if i'm making a bigger deal of it then it was because they weren't getting crazy it just sort of irritated me.

Anyways, i'm here for school! That's my rant.

Anna--you made the right decision. You are one smart girly, hon. Take it from someone who has been married for 13 years/been with my current husband for 16. . .when the right one comes along, he won't put you in a situation where you will ever feel uncomfortable.

Seewhatimesdone, I had a boyfriend in HS who wanted to be high all the time. I know what it's like to sit around the group saying 'no thank you' all the time. There is a lot more to that story though. Let's just say he was NOT a nice person. The best thing I did was to get rid of him.

I have also been to many parties where people are trippin on acid and I stayed in the 'no thanks' mode. I know plenty of people who smoke. I have no problem with it as it's none of my business. I however would not want to have a relationship with someone who has to smoke several times a day just to get by.
