My hair is actually curly too. When I have it cut, I usually have it blown out and wear it like that for a few days. I can never get it like that myself. I'll be interested to see how much I like the cut when I wear it natural.

I bet you can do the straightening yourself. My DD's hair is very curly and longish. Almost to her bra strap. She straightens her own hair and it looks so good. I wish like anything mine would do that same thing. Soooooo..........YOU CAN DO IT!!

Kimmar--I can't work on a messy desk. I have to get to work 30 min early every morning to organize my desk for the day, I don't go out for lunch (even though I can), so I can organize my desk, and I stay 15 minutes to organize before I leave work. Can you imagine? And I have 2 desks at work--one in the classroom and one in my office!! The one at home tends to get a little more piled on it, but I am quick to do a clean up....

Boo's hair is real curly, too. From time to time, I'll blow dry it straight for her and use the flat iron on it. Problem is, 5 min in North Carolina humidity and it's curly again. I think I'm doing something wrong, but being graced with stick straight hair, for the life of me, I can't figure it out.

You want to know something else weird about me? I cannot do paperwork at home unless the house is clean. I mean, spotlessly clean. . . .

That is the only store I go into expecting to spend $20 and leave having spent $200. I used to go to WalMart every week. Now I go once every other month. . .

Well, I can use a flat iron to get my hair straight, but I rarely have that much time. Granted, with it much shorter, it won't take as long as before. I just have to do it on days when it won't rain and undo all my work. So, any day that isn't Summer in Florida. My hair dresser won't even straighten my hair if it's raining. She knows all that work would go away the minute I walk out the door.

Oh, and Target is my walk in for $20 walk out for $100 store. DH says I never go in that store without spending $100. Though many times I go in, it's for our prescriptions which can get costly.

We saw that last night too. It was much funnier than I expected. Though I'm always annoyed when I watch shows that portray my field totally wrong. I was a TV news producer like the character for years and they got a lot of things wrong about the job. Other than that, it was very funny.

As I write this, we are having one of our weird little pop-up thunder storms....if you look at our local radar, it's right over us and ONLY over us! Go three blocks in any direction and it's dry. So odd...

Quiet day on tap for us. My dad will be over this afternoon for a cook-out lunch. A friend of his passed away the other and I think it unnerved him a bit. Glad we're still here right now.

Yard sale went pretty well yesterday. Most of what's left we'll be donating to the Habitat for Humanity store and Salvation Army store. I'm happy to say that we'll be moving this time with considerably less stuff!!
