Good morning. I'll have to come back when I have more time to do some reading and catch up.

Mornin' peeps!! It's decorating day for me here! Going to get our tree this afternoon, and I'll be digging all the Christmas boxes out of the barn loft and getting this place looking COOL! And, despite the fact that I will only have one tree and live in a small ranch house, I will post pictures later on of my results.:snooty:

:rotfl:

Good luck to those of you braving the retail stores today....

.

Sounds fun! We had an interesting Black Friday adventure. The Old Navy ad was deceptive. It said the store opened at 12 p.m.. My friend and about half the line took that to mean Midnight. Nope, the store had opened for a bit at Noon then closed. The big sale with the free games didn't start until 3 a.m.. We decided it was't worth staying for so we headed over to the Disney store. It was supposed to open at Midnight. That was true, but with the line we didn't get in the store until 1 a.m.. I did get some great deals. They had a sale then 20% off all prices (minus movies, music, tickets, and gift cards.) I got a cute Minnie kitchen set for $60 off. There were also some toddler baby princesses for $8 so I got gifts for DD3's friends too. Now I need to take a shower and finish up for family.

I did brave the masses and got the youngest 2 bicycles from WalMart ($29 each) and dd10 a sweing machine ($50). Add toys to that, as well. We also got some Christmas candles from Yankee Candle Company. I went into the Disney Store and right back out--I got what I needed there last weekend.

Time for some sleep now--I've been up and shopping since 3:30am.

Wow, y'all must have been shopping yesterday or still recovering from Turkey Day or something! We didn't end up decorating but we're doing that today. Too many regular "chores" yesterday. Blah. Oh yeah, and DH shot a nail through his left index finger....:rolleyes1

Happy Saturday!!

LegoMom - Ouch! I hope your DH is okay.

So here's what I was doing last night. Someone get a drool bucket for Kimmar.

The view of the stage from our seats.

We got very lucky. Two ladies gave us their 7th row tickets right before the concert. They upgraded to the third row. They saw my DD10 and I taking pictures of ourselves in our DC shirts and thought we looked like good DC fans to give their other seats too.:banana: The concert was great. I really liked both of his opening bands. David Cook puts on a great concert and interacts very well with the audience.

Mean Queen - niiiice!:thumbsup2

Remember when you and I had our siggies full of pictures of "our" men?!!:rotfl:

I also did some lights outside on the front porch, but it was too light out to take a good pic of them earlier so I'll try that another day.

So, Smileybug, where are YOUR pics?!?:confused3
:rolleyes1

Love the decorations LegoMom! We need to get in gear and decorate our house.

I don't know how many of you saw my Facebook post--dh bought the kids 2 bunnies yesterday. The kids named them Ron and Hermoine, and it was about 1 hour after we got them that the coward (dh) sends me a message through FB nonetheless, "btw--Mr. Britt thinks Hermoine is pregnant."

Oh, and 2 more posts to 5,000!

Any babies yet? Did the man tell your husband they were same sex or that 1 was fixed? I'm assuming your husband knows what would happen if he put a male and female rabbit together. :rotfl2:

That he's not the family friendly American Idol contestant any more. I didn't find it any more over the top than Madonna, Britney (Madonna with Britney) or Lady Gaga. But I do wish my DD didn't stay up to watch the performance. :rolleyes1 I don't think the audience knew what to make of it. I think a lot of the performers sounded pretty bad last night. Except for those obviously lip synching.

Anna - Have a great trip!

We think alike.

::yes:: But she's only 13..........

:cloud9: OMG, DD is at her dad's tonight so I'll make sure that she see's this picture.

My DD is only 13 so me drooling over this guy isn't much better.

My daughter is 18 so we drool together. :lmao:

LegoMom, I like the wood in your house. We have a pine ceiling my husband designed. I love the dresser. Looks great with the decorations.
