You know, normally, I don't like wood paneling, but yours looks so nice and comforting. It's that perfect color of wood, too. Your decorations look great! I wish I could say ours are up but alas...they're not. LOL

LegoMom - Ouch! I hope your DH is okay.

So here's what I was doing last night. Someone get a drool bucket for Kimmar.

The view of the stage from our seats.

We got very lucky. Two ladies gave us their 7th row tickets right before the concert. They upgraded to the third row. They saw my DD10 and I taking pictures of ourselves in our DC shirts and thought we looked like good DC fans to give their other seats too.:banana: The concert was great. I really liked both of his opening bands. David Cook puts on a great concert and interacts very well with the audience.

.....:cloud9:...I can die a happy camper now.....:faint:

*sigh*

well a week ago tomorrow we were told my grandpa would have about 8 weeks to live.

a week ago yesterday he passed away. (11-22)

his funeral was friday.

he had a nice full military honors service. 21 gun salute, burial in a national cemetery, flag folding (:confused3 confused as to the name of this, they removed the flag from his casket and folded it into a triangle, does that even have a name?) etc.

*sigh*

yeah, so, thanks to those of you that kept my family and i in your prayers.

it seems my parents were havin a hard time yesterday; drivin home, leavin my grandma, and it was my brothers birthday yesterday. he would have been 17. wow that was weird to type it out.

when we got home we literally threw our stuff into the house and went to the cemetery. it's so hard to watch my parents as they look at his grave.
an hour. that's all he made it.

it's even harder knowing that my mom wasn't even expecting me when she did find out she was pregnant with me. "i can't be, we just lost a baby..." it's so hard knowing that if they hadn't have lost him there was no way i'd be here. it makes me wonder sometimes if...

so i think i've/we've been in too many cemeteries this week.

whoa. ok i'm sorry. :sad1:

anyway thanks for listening, i didn't really plan on dumping all that out but it felt good. i feel like i can just tell you guys. :grouphug:

anyways... hows everyone been?

:littleangel: :littleangel:

Oh, hon--I'm so sorry. . .7 years ago yesterday my dad lost his battle to cancer. My heart goes out to anyone who has to deal with the loss of a loved one. The pain dulls after time, but there are still jars throughout life. :( I miss him.

Iwas...... And to everyone that is dealing with the anniversaries of loss this Holiday Season :grouphug:

IwasBorn.....I'm sorry for this difficult time. I know the pain and it will get better with time. Last month would have been my sisters b-day and was also the anniversary of her death. She died when I was a Senior in HS. That was not an easy year.

Creativeamanda, next week is the 8th anniversary of my fathers death following cancer. Hope you have some memories that put a smile on your face.

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

Looks like we have some bad weather coming to our area tomorrow. They are already telling us to get ready for it. :confused3 High winds, tornado's, hail.... I guess we are going have to bring in some of the decorations. :sad2:

creativeamanda, how about ya'll? Do you have any of this coming your way? Its that system coming in from the Gulf. We are supposedly going to be on the bad side of it.

Good morning.

Smiley, stay safe. What a pain to have to bring decorations back inside.

I have the week off b/c the daycare lady is on vacation this week. I should probably get some shopping done today. This weekend we are getting our Xmas tree so sometime I need to dig out all the decorations.

IWBTLD - I'm so sorry...what a rough week. Sending up an extra prayer for you and your family....

Smileybug - I think that's what we're getting today. It hasn't started yet but it's coming!! The only thing I have outside are the icicle lights which are stapled to the porch roof, so I don't have anything to bring in. I did, however, have to put the horse in his "jammies" last night!:rotfl: I really hate having to blanket a horse but he's coming back from neglect so when it's only in the 40s and windy and rainy, he gets PJ's.:upsidedow

SadieDog - shopping today sounds like a good idea; get some done before it gets totally crazy out there! I went to Walmart Saturday morning expecting a zoo, and it was nearly dead! DH went yesterday morning, and it was crazy again....go figure. I thought yesterday was supposed to be cyber-Monday?:confused3

PaMom, TK, creativeamanda - Good morning!

.

Morning, LegoMom!

Well, I am off to face the great unknown.

Oh, yes.

My son's walk in closet. Which until I wrestled with it this morning, I could not even open the door to. Can we say it's time to clean out.

But seriously, I fear for myself. If I don't check back in a few hours, please, call in the reinforcements. ;)

Just checking in...

unearthing self from mound of toys...

gasping for air...

"why do we have so many??? Why??? WHY????"

;)

Well, it's going okay. I have a ton of throwing out/donating to do, so that's a good thing. Hope everyone's having a great day. :thumbsup2

good morning everyone :goodvibes

how was everyone's Thanksgiving? Good I hope. We went shopping on Fri. and I got A LOT of stuff for everyone :cool1:

I'm so excited about it - I also cleaned out our shed and put a LOT of stuff in storage and if dh gets it that bad again he is banned from the shed!!! :rotfl:

we are putting out final touches on our wall between our living room and kitchen so when that is done I'll post pics. :cheer2:

I have to brag a little here - my dd (16) picked an angel from the angel tree at her school and spent her own money on her :littleangel: she got her some clothes, shoes, p.j.s and a really BIG doll with clothes :cool2:

I am getting her the phone she wants but she thinks I'm getting it for me :rolleyes1

how is everyone else??? do share :)

Hey ya'll.

I got my grocery shopping done this morning. I was going to go tomorrow. But with the way they are pushing this coming storm. I decided going today was a better choice. They are telling us to make sure we have our storm preps in place. LegoMom, what is expected in your area?
