Anyone know when this ...
T-Rex Cafe - A Prehistoric Family Restaurant
is slated to open at Downtown Disney?
I know sometime in 2008 - but anyone heard a date?

"FALL" - they have a ways to go, this photo is from a month ago.

oh man...
I heard august and thats when we are going... we will have to do rainforest instead..

May be it'll be up and running for our
November shenanigans.

I read somewhere today.. online that it was openeing late 2008.. too bad. we will miss it.

BUMP BUMP BUMP!! Gotta 2 year old that is dino crazy!!! Anyone have pics for me?? We will be in the world in Sept!

I think this place is such a great idea! My DS loves dinos too but I doubt this will be done in September. I'm just looking forward to trying it next year!:goodvibes

I dont know if thi sis going to effect the construction but Landry's ( company that is building T Rex) is in teh middle of being aquired by a private company

I called Landry's and they said either October or November but no specific date. I've worked with restaurant openings before and it's never set in stone. We hope it's earlier than later!

I also heard (within the last few days) that they are extending the completion date, past the original November opening, further into 2008.

I spoke with two different people on Monday...A CM when I was making some dining reservations and someone that works in the Rainforest Cafe in DTD...

Both told me they have not been given a date for openning or when reservations will start to be taken...The computer now reads openning "late 2008" instead of "Fall 2008"...There is no official word on if it will be on the dining plan but it looks like a no for now...Rainforest does not take the plan and both places are operated by the same company...

The place is going to be tremendous and it may be construction that is slowing the process down.

This place looks awesome! I cannot wait to go. I will be in the world in a few weeks, I will post pics when I return.

The Private Company you speak of is actually the current CEO Tillman Firtitta. He is the founder of the company is taking it private. So I really doubt this will effect the T-Rex construction.
