one year ago today...i was at MGM studios...sigh...

nothing exciting to say here...except that i'll echo ann's TGIF!!!! this has been a loooooooooong week for me. i still haven't recovered completely from our road trip last weekend. i'm dead to the world each night by 9pm! i was actually napping yesterday while i was at lunch!

I'm done at 3 and I'm off to Mike's soccer game and Justin too...coach asked Justin to dress for the varsity team

This will be my first time watching both my boys on the same team. I have waited forever for this! Age difference always kept them separate....

nap time is almost over so I gotta run...I'll try to check in tonight

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard that Nike is going to start putting TGIF on all their athletic shoes soon. Seems as though they are doing this for the benefit of all those collegiate athletes who are a bit academically challenged. Their reasoning is that TGIF will remind them that
TOES GO IN FIRST!!!

Aw Debbie...that's awesome! That would be very neat for them to actually be on the field together...but no matter, great for Justin to be asked to dress! Give them a hug from me OK?...nah, make that a hi-5 or sumpin' I'm sure they don't want a hug from their crazy mother's crazy friend.

I was so tired last night I fell asleep on the couch at 7 PM got up and moved to bed at 11. I never do that!!

The game was great...they won 1-0 making their record 4-1 now. Justin never got into the game but we knew he didn't care....cuz he was part of the team. We knew we were right when we saw his grin coming accross the field after the game was over.
The game was too tight to try him today but he'll get his chance.

I should explain that Justin was on the JV team but due to not having enough players...only 11 I think, they really need subs, they decided not to have one. They were told that any of them still interested in stayin with it could still practice with the varsity team. Justin kept showing up with more consistancy and effort then any of them. They asked him up because of his hard work and dedication.

I should also explain that to Mike, his older brother, sports have always come naturally...he's been a varsity soccer player since he was a freshman....basketball too...he's been varsity since sophmore year. Justin, on the other hand, is the player that always just doesn't make it. If there was one more pick ....it would be him. It happens all the time. Last basketball season...the same thing...he would have been the next pick. When that happened he became the manager of the JV team doing the score book, sitting at the offcial table with a shirt and tie on, and sometimes the clock and taking care of equipment and that sort of thing...just be a part of the team.
Now he's part of a team and the same team his brother is on.

Anyway thats why this meant so much to me

Another funny thing....Mike has always been #16...but for some reason the coach asked him to take #10....anyway yesterday the coach gave Justin a choice and he took #16. The coach said "thats going to make your brother angry" and Justin relied "I KNOW....thats why I'm taking it!!"

Yay Justin! I admire his attitude, and good for the coach for recognizing his dedication. (Wish our girl's program was run that way ) Our boys soccer team is undefeated still after 5 games...never in their history has this happened I guess!!
DD has a new interest on our boy's team.....her ex is on there as goalkeeper but she went to a movie with a center middie last night after the football game which was after the soccer game! She says neither of them want a "serious" relationship but they both seem to be enjoying thsi flirtation or whatever they call it these days........................

Why is it Saturday dawns cloudy after a couple of weeks of gorgeous weather?????????????????????????? MAybe to force me into decluttering work

I'm having an electronic meltdown of sorts here...and you've all disappeared on me!! LOL

I have a little pocket electronic organizer...not a Palm Pilot, just a little Sharp thing I got 5 years ago, under $30. It's my address book and has a schedule/appt function and a "memo" function I use for notes for myself
I changed the batteries once (I thought) with no problems. The display was getting faint so I bought batteries today and changed them and wiped out all the data...by changing the memory backup battery at the same time as the operating batttery....or sumpin'. (It says not to do that in the little book.at the END in fine print of the page that tells you how to change the batteries )
So I've lost all of your snail mail addresses and home phone numbers .... those of you who had given them to me. (As well as losing your e-mail addresses in my computer problem recently)
ARGHHH!! So if anyone wants to give me that stuff again, please PM it to me??? thanks!

Ann, glad to see you're back online. Debbie, you're so lucky to have your 2 sons playing together. When DD was in school, she was in dance, and going to her concerts was always a highlight, and usually gave me a tear or 2.

today is foggy and stinking humid.......dear dear hubby....(even though I said do not do it yet...).....he did it.....took the ac out .....and then commenced to wash the carpets.....so our house was and still is like 100 percent humidity.......making it hard to breathe........hope you all have a good day......I am still WAITING WITH ENTHUSIASM.. my hot rice crackers......hahahha

I didn't sleep well (again ) have had a scratchy throat and "itchy ears" since Saturday night....I haven't had a cold in a long time, I guess it's time. I hate colds...I get even more whiney than usual

another weekend...gone...where the heck do they keep disappearing off to?

had a nice weekend at home. we ran our errands early on saturday and then hung out at home the rest of the weekend. we started listening to the next harry potter book on CD...we're finally into the new one! yay!! we're only a few months behind everyone else...

and it was time to get caught up on laundry...i'm nowhere's near caught up yet, but i'm getting there! i'm the type of person who just washes what i'm going to wear for the week...everything else piles up and before you know it, you've got 20 loads on your bedroom floor!

has anyone seen teri? yoohoo teri!!! come out to play!!! and how about shellie? she hasn't been here in awhile either...hope all is well with everyone!

and no humidity......and if whats his name decides to take out my AC before the end of November ......he is in big deep doo doo ........no seriously we take it out usually the same time of year......right before we do the rugs......and we did it......just did not expect the humidity to be this big......Kaitlynn ....our gd had a game this pm.....and it was against my husbands old school.......kaitlynn plays for my old one.....anyways.......they tied.....she was a happy camper.....then the tv crew was there and it said it would be on at six ....naturally patriots ...red sox and some other teams took priority.......oh well....maybe the eleven o clock news.......have a good evening everyone

I had my AC on in my room last night too...the cooling too...I slept nicely under blankets keeping me warm. my pool is still open too so if any of you wants to come over for a swim....
