Latest Look at Ongoing Construction at Disney's Lakeshore Lodge​

The main hotel buildings are also making significant progress. Vertical construction is now nearing the planned maximum height, with large concrete panels and structural steel in place across most of the core resort footprint. This resort is following the same efficient construction method used recently at Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Resort.







The North and West A-Frame units are positioned at the edges of the resort, while the central hotel structure wraps around a feature courtyard and pool complex. Additional treehouse-style accommodations are also in the plans, reflecting the resort’s “inspired by nature” theme.



The extensive footprint includes dedicated parking, new roadways, and guest amenities spread throughout the wooded site, which sits between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.









Lakeshore Lodge is expected to open in 2027 and will join Disney’s growing collection of Vacation Club resorts.

The one thing I find a bit odd about the shape and layout of the resort - that the arcs all curve toward the lake view, which I presume is going to be a higher point-class (lake view vs woods view?). That means that the balconies looking out towards the lake are generally going to be less private than the ones facing the woods...I would have thought they'd want to design it the other way around.

Seems that Disney is connecting Wilderness lodge and FW more since the LL construction. We're at BRV currently and I don't remember the busses to MK and from Epcot stopping at the fort previously. Hoping they plan to reopen the path between them as well. Maybe after LL is finished.

I think it would help restaurant choice, opening it with golf cart access would also be cool.

The proximity to Settlement wouldn't really need golf cart access to the resort - it's awfully close so you could be staying at Fort Wilderness and park in the settlement golf cart lot to walk over.

I'm still trying to figure out the A-frames located on the Fort Wilderness side of the resort - they're essentially going to be on Fort Wilderness' property where the beach used to be, and the farthest cabins look like they'll be right next to Trail's End and Crockett's...anyone staying in those A-frames would be closer to the Fort Wilderness restaurants than the actual resort building!

That would be good for people staying at FW. Not sure Disney would go for it though; seems to me they won't want the carts on a walking or jogging path.
