morning all

we still have our a/c on too. it's still too warm to go without it just yet. we do sleep with a fan on in the bedroom...i need the white noise to help me sleep. ok...actually, i need it to drown DH's snoring! lol...but the fan can't be blowing directly in my direction. if it does, i wake up with a horrifically stuffed nose.

isn't SSB on a cruise or something? is he on a cruise???? with that hurricane brewing out there???? ACK!!!!!!

No,no,no. I didn't desert. Its just been incredibly busy lately, and I can't figure out what's happened to cause it. I just can't seem to find the time to even take a ddp breath.

So, we went back to court over that idiot father of the boys' and his made up week-end visitation. Got set hours for him. He can't pick them up until 6:00 on Friday and has to have them back home by 6:00 on Sunday. I think he screwed himself, because he used to get them longer (earlier on Friday; later on Sunday) than that, plus, we drove one way, which helped his gas usage (we live on opposite sides of town). Now he has to pick up and drop off.
Back to court on 10/7 to set summer and holiday visitation.

Off from work since Friday...that was nice. Weather here has been beautiful, with the exception of Sunday when it poured rain all day.

My A.C. has been off for 2 weeks. the weather is beautiful and mild. Chilly, even. at night.
I di have ceiling fans in the bedroom, kitchen and living room, so those have still been on.

Bob, Bob, Bob was slated for Toronto for the film festival, followed by DCL cruise. Not sure when one would end and the other begin.

Hope this weather doesn't mess up his plans.

Now, off to a parade (this week is our little suburbs "Gas Light Festival" and Shawn is in the parade tonight. He's excited. Justin is jealous. What more can I say?

and everyone else that reads my dribble.......today it is cool ......I am very happy about it......the humidity takes alot out of this old lady.....my first dump and run came early today ....one week at quarter of seven and one week at qaurter of eight.....he exhuasts me.....my baby comes at eight this morning and twelve tomorrow.....then just jacob on friday......I have it good and easy most of the time......except when Jacob punched me in the stomach.....he will have to learn that I do not put up with that......talked to him......put him in a quiet chair and then finally told his mom......he was more concerned if I was going to tell my husband.......hehehe......

Well, I can be classified as a perennial slacker on this thread, LOL, rarely here. I think there are a lot of DIS slackers of late, so many are missing. Just thought I would stop by and say hello. Hope those with the sniffles, stuffed noses, headaces and all feel better real soon. And hope everbody stays dry and safe from ole Isabel brewing off shore. Tie down those loose things outside, and none of those hurricane parties you guys.

The back and forth weather finally got me - I am developing quite a nasty sinus infection. Pity party of one going on over here.

Pumba - any sign of those rice cakes yet? You're a saint like Pooh - I'd never be able to deal with a bunch of young'uns all day - that's why I work OUT of my home. Not sure if my sons would have lived this long otherwise.

Hi Dan - thanks for dropping in. Isabel seems to have shifted her track slightly, but of course the Jersey shore is included in the mess. We'll be holding on Thursday night-Friday.

Brandie - less than 3 months for you - woohoo!!!

Poohsie - here's hoping all the court dates will come and go quickly, so that you and those babies can get your routine back in order, and some peace.

here I am here I am.....don't mean to be a slacker
but I to, like Gail, have a sinus infection AGAIN. I went to the doctor last night and she had to give me this antibiotic I never heard of....cuz with my last sinus infection a few months ago...she gave augmenten and I had an allergic reaction...so no more penicillin for me......anyway this stuff made me sick this morning......vomiting sick. So now I had to get a new antibiotic called in
but thats why I was a no show here this morning.
Oh and try taking care of 5 kids when you need to vomit
My neice had to come help me.
Now my doctor wants me to get a CT scan on my sinuses. I go on Friday but I think I may change that date.

Hope you feel better Gail and everyone else who isn't feeling well

they put me on something that was two first day.....one pill a day for four days and then taht is it......made my stomach hurt though.....hope you feel better.......

ackkkkkkkkk! cyber-germs galore!! I now officially have a chest cold. ILiquids and OTC meds for me!! Hope I don't get your stinkin' sinus infections and I hope you all feel bettter!!! It's not really bothering me though, today I found out that a client of mine from this past summer, a 36-yr old mother of a little girl, died Monday. When I met her in July she was determinedly battling cancer, I thought if attitude can tip the scales, she'd win the battle. So sad, but kind of puts my little annoyances in perspective.

Hey, Cookie, I'm surprised that DebbieDaycare didn't pick up on the fact that you said pumba was a saint "like Pooh". But then again, maybe Debbie is admitting that she's not a saint (bwahahaha) , though I agree she has the patience of one to take care of kiddos. I'm like you, I needed OUT of the house and I only have/had the one DD.

well it takes all kinds to make the world go round...thank goodness. I love staying home with the kiddies. I have been used to having preschoolers between 3 & 6 years but this year worked out differently. I have a 2 month old, a 15 month old, a 2 year old and 2 5 years olds. I am just loving the babies. I put the 2 5 year olds on the kindegarden bus at noon and my 15 month old and my 2 year old go down for naps and Then its me and the infant for a couple of hours and she is sooooo good and adorable and she never cries except to eat and I have to say it again...I'm loving these babies
of course I did wish they weren't here when I got sick this morning

my 15 month old....BEN ....I believe he has typed here for me before....he's gotten jealous of the new baby....and he's such a character .... when I sit down nice and comfy to feed the baby....Ben gets on my rocking chair ...stands up and tries to rock it and balance He does this to get my attention away from the baby....and it works of course...

So anyway... yes Gail you should be calling me a saint too

pumba..... that antibiotic is the new one I got today...2 pills the first day and then one pill for four days....Zythromax or sumpin like that....it better not make me ill. I didn't take it yet cuz I thought I should wait till tomorrow so this other one is out of my system....but I don't want another morning like this one ....

baby kyle just turned one and he is the best baby and he talks gibberish to me and tells jacob where the bear poops in the woods....when he wants his toys back.......jacob is 3 and goes to pre school two mornings a week.....he is a hard one.......does not like to mind.......his cousin taht I had for all of her 7 years is the love of my day care days.........she still gets in my lap and says.......marie you luv me cause I am your little brat........and I have always thought she was something else......but she is a brat.....

Take the meds with a buffer in your stomach......I did and it helped.....hope you are better soon

Romper Room thread, nuttin'. This seems to be the ISOLATION room thread, with all of these germs goin' around.

I've got some serious allergy thingie goin' on (as does my baby Justin), so that has me (us) coughin and hackin trying to get that junk up out of the lungs, but, nothin' compared to you guys.

Usually, I wish we all lived closer to one another. Right now, I'm thankful for the distance from you sicklies.

I don't do well around sick people, ya' know.

Has anybody heard anything at all from Teri?????

thats like saying I don't do well with poopy diapers

and as a nurse shouldn't you be taking care of us.....I know there's miles between us but you could tell us ALL to get plenty of rest...drink losts of fluids not of the alchohol variety either and that we all need to take the day off and rest

i've been having allergy issues lately. nothing terribly bad, but it's still a nuisance. i think i need to break out the discinfectant!! i'm tired of feeling sick all the time...

the only baby we have at home is our cat. our big fat cat. while i adore my kitty, i can't wait until we get a dog!!! puppies are so much fun! well, once you get them housebroken anyway.

i'm reading a new book...taking charge of your fertility. anyone else want to read it? lol...we want our house full of little ones...soon...i'm not getting any younger you know!

i started a new workout video last night. bellydancing! you know, it's a lot harder than it looks! it was kinda funny...as i would watch them demonstrate the move i was supposed to be doing, i would figure it out as best as i could, then turn and watch myself do the same move in the mirror. i sure don't look anything like them girls do!! they can wiggle parts of their bodies that i haven't wiggled on mine in years!
