DD has that Halo perfume! I can't do real perfume. gives me bad headaches. I've found I can do some of the light Bath & Body Works sprays though.

It's gorgeous here this morning. Yesterday was supposed to be "mostly sunny" and was overcast from 10 am on No rain though Youngest stepson came by with his new GF for lunch, ten DH and I took a ride over to Rye and went out for dinner and a walk on the beach with my sister and her DH. She and I were discussing how here it is Labor Day weekend, and it was the first time this year Ithat I've set foot on the beach with her (it is 7/10ths of a mile from her house)! Where did the summer go????

This afternoon we are going to DH's niece's wedding. I've never been to a true "backyard" wedding...potluck reception...DH's sister and BIL have acres of land with mountain views, they added another deck to the large one they have, have been growing flowering vines on trellises and stuff all summer.... it should be lovely. Hope the sun stays out or at least does not rain...they do have a big tent "just in case"

Hello!!! I'm back...had a great weekend mostly relaxing...the weather was beautiful most of the time. Mike couldn't do much...he hurt his ankle at a soccer jamboree the day before and had to spend most of the time with his foot up and on ice...but he had his girlfriend to keep him company so I don't think he minded. Tomorrow is their fist game...don't know yet if Mike will be able to play

saturday did a party at sister in laws family camp near lake canobie...nice but not one inch of sun until it was almost time to leave....figures........we had a nice meal and everyone brought something.....my instructions were for salad for 25 people......YIKES...but I did it......I did it.....hahaha
Yesterday daughter and son in law got me for my birthday a gift certifcate for seafood......since hubby and I had pigged out on jumbo lobsters in may we decided we HAD to wait to eat anymore....so yesterday got 7 lobsters and a peck of clams......kimberly brought a tossed salad and corn on the cob.....cake and ice cream and steak for the grill too.....we put together hamburg and hot dogs and had a nice feast......wonderful day......today was put the pool away day.....it was emptied yesterday and then today we did the wiping up and cleaning the liners and everything.....I am bushed.....right now sitting here sucking on my red tootsie roll pop.......
ANN have a good day at the wedding....I love low key ones....they are so intimate.....let us know how it went....

Hello--can't believe my "work 2 out of 10 days" stretch is over
Sigh.

The wedding was really nice...the weather was absolutely PERFECT and everything seemed to go off without a hitch except that it started a bit later then it was supposed to....not sure why but we surely didn't care. As the vows/ring ceremony concluded, both sets of parents came up to the flowered archway (mountain views behing them, it was really beautiful) and each parent gave them a little best wishes/blessing, and DH's sister brought this mesh box filled with monarch butterflies...must have been a couple of dozen...and released them......it was so pretty...the butterflies all sort of hovered around (some of them for hours even after the ceremony concluded!) One landed on the brides bouquet and stayed put therefor a bit. Veyr pretty

pumba, you came to NH again!! and didn't come to see me...or invite me for salad! hahahaha

Hope Mike's ankle is better Debbie...but better to stay off it for the opening game if it is still sore!!! It just doesn't seem like fall to me with DD not playing soccer this season, but she seems so content with her decision - and there were more weird tryout issues we heard about this year again, so it's just as well. The other three junior captains of last year's JV team tried out...one never went back after the first day of tryouts, the other 2 were cut. I just know if DD tried out she's probably have made it --but as "back up" and sat on the bench, so her time is better spent playing (as she puts it ) the "getting into college" sport instead

Right after work today I have to unhook all these wires and take the computer for service (and buy a new monitor). They will have it for "up to 3 days"

Its pouring rain here....not a good day for an opening soccer game....but they play in anything so I'll be there in the rain

i can't believe this weekend is over already!! it flew by so fast!! DH looked at me this morning and said "what happened to my 3 day weekend?" lol...oh well...we get another 3 day weekend this coming weekend anyway! it'll be abusy one, with half of it spent driving, but it's still a 3 day weekend!

i'm so excited about our inpromptu trip too...on our way out, we're going to stop at a jack in the box (fast food restaurant for those that don't know) about half way there. jack in the box is one of DH's favorite fast food places and we don't have any near us. and then on the way home on monday, we are going to take an hour detour to hit my favorite fast food stop, winerschnitzel! they have the world's best chili cheese fries! we have one about 2 hours from here...but this will be the first chance we've had to get there. it's probably a good thing that the nearest one is 2 hours away...i'd be as big as a house if it were any closer!

Got some bug, don't know what, but, I'm on day 3 of feeling yucky.... One of my favorite doctors today, said to me (don't ask why he's a favorite--I have no idea. ) "You really should be wearing a mask....For one thing, it'd make you look better..."

we're STILL waiting to hear from the construction manager. i guess we have to have the pre-construction meeting with him first...and then they begin building i certainly hope this house is done in time for us to move in BEFORE christmas! lol
