I am very unfamiliar with the Swalphin...have never stayed there before. But, I am on a quest to stay at every hotel on WDW property and this one seems appropriate for DH's and my 10 year anniversary. I have been skimming different threads about these resorts, but just wondering if I will be able to get a room for less that $200 with all the taxes and any fees added? Also, dumb question...can I book this thru CRO or do I need to call the Swan or Dolphin directly?

Oh, just wanted to add I am a Fl Resident, AAA member and seasonal pass holder, if that helps me at all! :cool1:

side note...do you prefer one or the other for any particular reason?

TIA! :thumbsup2

I love the Swolphin! I personally prefer the Swan over the Dolphin, but they are both great. The amount you pay in May all depends on when you go and if there is a convention at the time. Sometimes the Swolphin is completely sold out due to a convention. You can go to the DIS' home page: http://www.wdwinfo.com/ and enter in your dates on the right of the screen to see the current discount rates. You can also call the Swolohin's reservation line (click on one of the Swolphin banners to get it) for more information.

We too are trying to stay at every resort. I'll be down to only 3 left at the end of this month :).

Thanks robinb! Good to know you enjoyed the resort. Wow, only 3 resorts to go til you reach your goal! You are much further along than I am. :sad2: I am having a hard time paying the $$$ to stay at a monorail resort. Even with the discounts, I can think of so much more I'd rather be doing with the $$$ (like spending it at the bar, LOL.) I know this is our anniversary trip and I should "splurge" but I feel like $200 a night *IS* a splurge! Plus...we have our ADR for V&A's! Woohoo!

Always nice to see ya on the boards. :sunny:

We lucked out on both the Polynesian and the CR. We stayed at the CR in the North Tower when Shades of Green was under construction. My mom is a Navy widow and we got the unbelievable rate of $79 per night! The Poly was almost as good of a deal. I had CBR booked over Christmas a couple of years ago and WDW closed the resort unexpectedly a couple of months before our dates. We were able to book the Polynesian for a small upcharge over the rate at CBR. I think I paid about $110 per night!

Happy to report I got $159 a night at the Dolphin for May 3, 4 and 5 with a FL res rate! :)

Yay! Our sexy anniversary trip is ON, baby!
