Just noticed that the fares are up now for booking until October. I checked my dates but since we are travelling on a Sunday, the prices are still kinda high. Last year, we paid 59 bucks each way after receiving credits, however, I noticed that as of today, if you are flying out on a Monday/Tues/Wed the price is 59 bucks each way.

Does not work for me, but this might helps someone.

Where were you flying from for $59?

i saw many 59$ flights from Buffalo :thumbsup2 but we were not going til Feb or Mar 2010, however, i might actually consider doing a trip in Sept!!!:cool1:

I went on at 7:00am and the departure flight I wanted was $129, an hour later it was $140 and now it is $167! We were planning on the first flight out on Aug 22 and returning on the 30th on the last flight out...$1312 for 4 of us! I juggled our dates slightly and got $756..that I can live with and fares might still come down. We are still leaving on the Sat but a little later flight and coming home the Mon instead of Sun...so one more day at Disney and still saving money!

I just booked July for a week using my credit! I got $59 rate, minus my credit, 4 of us are flying for $100!

The SWA rates I got for October 11 - 18 dates (Sun to Sun) are not that good. Actually cheaper through AirTran. Hate AirTran with a vengeance, but they're going to be Cdn$245 cheaper than SWA.

AirTran - USD$798 (guess about Cdn$1000)
Southwest - USD$995 (guess about Cdn$1244)
Sunwing - Cdn$1450
Westjet - Cdn$3,000 LOL!!!

Don't know what I'm going to do yet...

We are looking at Sunday to Sunday too and the fares are not that great. However, last year we left on a Sunday and returned on a Saturday and was able to get 59 bucks each way. I'm thinking I will hold off and see what happens. Though it would be nice to book today at 59 and not have to worry about it.

SEpt 25 $109 (Fri)
Oct 2 $59 (fri)
Total for 8 people = $1513

Hoping to change $109 flight if a deal comes up... and use credit of a getaway with hubby in the winter.

I checked these guys out with trips from seattle to lax and it was like 250 a person...really steep.

I'm excited too, but patience everyone. We're going Aug. 23-Sept.4 and still $140, but we waited last year until about 6-8 weeks out or less, and they came down to $130 round trip each or thereabouts. So I will wait patiently and religiously check my Dings!:thumbsup2

Last year we got fares for $59 without a DING, so I'm hoping too. We are going August 23rd too.:woohoo:

I am a "newbie" .... after a couple of hours planning and cracking the numbers yesterday, I finally booked with Disney POR to take advantage of the free dining (Aug 19 to 24).

So, I was then ready to move on to book the airfare ....

It was stressful checking out SWA this morning .... the prices kept changing every few minutes. I originally wanted the 7:00 fare but it went up from $109 to $129. Return is great at $59.

Since there are 5 of us travelling ... I decided not to take a chance.
So, I booked the latest flight out a day earlier than I wanted (Aug 18) - arrives at 8:00 PM. I guess this is ok too ... instead of sleeping over in buffalo, we will be sleeping over in a disney resort and have a fresh start. Hubby was not too crazy about starting so early, then going straight to the parks after arrival anyways.

Friends recommended that I take the best choices at $59 each way for now and to keep monitoring so that if the price for the flight/date/time I like becomes cheaper and is available, to change my reservation. :surfweb: HOW DOES ONE DO THIS ?

I saw several flights with AirTran and Jetblue with 1 stop for about $160 tax included also. If I knew this, I could have easily saved myself from the stress of checking with SWA this morning and seeing the prices going up every few minutes.:headache:

I ended up getting it for $160 roundtrip per adult with SWA.

Any other advise ???? Any suggestion, recommendations etc etc will be welcome.

THanks

I was hoping for great prices this morning - when I checked our flights from BUF to Seattle in August the rates were over $225 each way before taxes - Me thinks I'll be taking the late late flight on United for $240USD taxes in return!!

I think what you have to do is call SW when you see a better fare and ask them to switch it for you. I think. They are a lot like Westjet that way, you can get the lower price and they'll give you a credit for the difference. I had the same conversation last year; booked at a great price on a ding, then changed flights for a better schedule (same price).

It's hard waiting and watching! Sounds like you've got a great trip planned, though!:thumbsup2

online without calling SWA and you'll get a credit towards flights one year from your original booking date. We are going to wait and see if we can get a deal and save the credit for a quick weekend trip to NYC

Darn! They weren't up this morning when I checked, and I never gave it another thought, since the Travel Tools still read the 14th. AND my computer is down, so time on the internet is limited to work. UGH. Oh, well, when the computer comes back, DING goes on. I thought that JetBlue might go down, and they dropped $40 a leg last week, but they still need to drop a lot.

Very happy 'cause I got $59 fares for mid-Sept. $417.60 total for the three of us. Late afternoon the same flights went up to $79 - so glad I didn't stew over it for once! :cool1:

WHEW! At lunchtime today I booked $59 each way for non-stop July flights. I checked the same flights a few hours later and they went up, $109 to MCO and $79 to BUF. YIKES! That's $70 MORE per person!

State your intent to the Universe and you'll get what you want!

My next Universal gift will be $49 USF per night at Disney Value Resort!

Blessings, Sandra :hippie:
