I see this term mentioned on the SWA site but I can't really find info on it. Is this a cheaper way for kids to fly? Help

Unless you are flying short notice, the child fare is almost always higher than the Wanna Get Away fare. You can only get child fares by calling SWA direct, you cannot buy them online.

Don't even bother with it, just buy a Wanna Get Away fare for your children.

This would be the same for all airlines, I assume?

One exception is that many domestic carriers offer half-price fares for children under 2 (who can otherwise fly free as lap infants). Not every carrier has special fares for children over 2, though, and if they do, they are higher than the lower coach fare booking classes.
