SWA and credit card miles

I have never flown Southwest before, always Delta to Orlando. Right now Delta is very high to Orlando.
I have been reading that SW dates may be opening up further soon. If we have enough for a ticket because of our credit card miles card...how does that work when booking the seats?
Can you call and hold reservations for 24 hours like with Delta before you give you credit card? I would have to be sure I can get all six seats and would have to book one separately with my credit card.
Not sure how the process works for that.... any info would be appreciated!

Jennymay - Sorry not sure how credit card miles work BUT we have flown Southwest before just this past August and booked for our upcoming March trip. SW fares are great from here, attendants were fun with kids and gave color books and little wing stickers. I did have to pay immediately when reserved, I dont think they hold at all. But keep checking day and night internet fares, they go up and down day and night and by days of week , sign up for their email list. Ex. I logged on one morning it was $139 each way, that same night it was $99-needless to say I jumped on it. For our family of 5 thats a big difference in savings!
