SWA 25% bonus points question

Not sure if folks have seen this offer on the SWA website: http://www.southwest.com/html/rapidrewards/promotions/25-more-points.html?int=HOMEHERONEWBGT130606 . My wheels are turning and I have a question. I'm wondering if I can gift a chunk of my points to DH (giving him the 25% point bonus) and in turn, use his points to book a flight for me . Any thoughts ??

Be sure to read the fine print:

Offer available for purchases made between June 4, 00:00:01 CT and July 16, 2013, 23:59:59 CT. The maximum number of Buy and Gift bonus points that can be received by one member per transaction is 15,000 bonus points. A daily maximum of 60,000 points per day can be purchased or gifted by a member with no annual maximum. For Gift transactions, bonus points are for the gift recipient and not the purchaser of the Gift transaction. Transfer transactions are not eligible for bonus. Prices are in U.S. Dollars and include all applicable taxes. Purchased points are non-refundable. All Rapid Rewards rules and regulations apply.

You have to purchase the gift points for the bonus.

10,000 plus the 2,500 bonus points cost $275. But, when you redeem them, the value of those points is only $208.33 (60 points per $1). So even with the bonus, you are losing money.
