SW - Is Tomorrow the Day?

I fly out of PVD all the time (live in CT but only 30 min away). There is a great park & fly called Post Road Valet, only two minutes from airport and very prompt and inexpensive. They might even have coupons online. I'm waiting for SW to open up for Oct. Can't complain about those direct flights from PVD to MCO!

Thanks, I'll check them out. :goodvibes

does anyone remember when they opened up for sept/oct last yr. for the life of me I can't remember when, just that i sat by my computer for weeks waiting. I think it was the summer sometime.

Actually Massachusetts, :) so we can use either Manchester or Providence, we are about half way between them. This is our first time flying out of PVD, do you park at the airport? I don't know if we should use a park and fly or park right at the airport. We need to leave the car for twelve days. :scared1:
We live only a short taxi ride from the airport (PVD) so we have never had to worry about our car. Yet I know they have some super deals on parking right at the airport. I believe they have the info on their website. http://www.pvdairport.com/ :upsidedow

Another RI'er here waiting for flights for end of September. I would love to get that $69 rate but I'll be happy with $99 (got that rate for nonstop to Vegas for end of May). Jetblue and Airtran have $99 from Logan. I'm holding out for Southwest in case it's the same price and I won't have pay extra to get me to Boston as opposed to PVD.

For those who could end up heading to Logan instead of PVD, have you taken the silver line yet? You can take the commuter rail into south station, then hop right on the silver line which drops you right at the airport terminals. It's not direct from SS to Logan, but it is a nice easy way to get in there without the hassle of paying for parking.

hi emmabelle
we're in MA too and have flown out of both MHT and PVD...we prefer PVD though ~ easier than having to go through Boston (we're south of Boston)

Last couple of times we flew out of PVD we parked our car at Airport Valet. I highly recommend them ~ great rates and when you arrive back at PVD, you call them and let them know you're back, they send a shuttle to pick you up and have your car all ready for you when you get there. They are very close to the airport too...less than 5 min shuttle ride.

Yes, I saved $275 for my disneymoon! (well, I now have a $275 credit with SW for a future trip;) )

$54 each way! Thanks Ding!

I have to admit as of late I've been very disappointed with Southwest's fares. They have risen very high, very quick out of Indy. I used to get $79 one almost automatic. Now I'm seeing $145 under the Internet Special column for June and July. I haven't seen any Ding fares for June or July out of Indy as of yet either.

I've been getting great deals from Airtran. $79 one way for July out of Indy. If Southwest doesn't budge on there fares neither will I. Competition is a great thing.

We always use http://www.airportvalet.com/ at green. Good prices great service.

I was waiting because the July fares were so high (almost $400 per person :scared1: ) but then I got a great DING today!! It really came out of the blue because all of the other DINGS for Kansas City had only been for April and May. I almost missed it because there were two listings, one for April/May and one for July. I am so happy because I saved $1284!! I was able to get 5 round trip tickets for $594. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I was beginning to worry that the July fares wouldn't come down, but I think this pre-sale DING is a good sign that there will be discounted fares offered. At least I hope so for everyone else waiting! Good luck!!

How wonderful for you! Thats great!

They haven't had any dings from pvd to mco for a long time. Hoping they are saving it up for a really really good ding. Not going til the end of sept so hoping it's a cheap fare.

I just got a $42 DING for Prov to Orl for my May trip! It actually said for flight #XXXX only and it was my flight :cool1: :cool1: so they do come!

Looks like babysteps to me. Today the August Hartford-Orlando legs went down $20 (best price, even better than opening day) but noticed it's not everyday of the week. Went in and lowered our Tuesday return, but not our Sunday going down.

With this latest baby drop, we're paying $947.20 r/t for the 4 of us. Not as good as last May when we paid $600something, but am glad we got for under $1K.

Good luck everyone, and keep checking and posting.
