SW credit expiring soon ~ extend it for how long??

Hi all
I have several SW TTF that will be expiring 6/22/07(totaling about $250). I thought DH was going to be able to use them for business travel, but all his out of state business is on hold for right now. I know there is a way to have SW extend the expiration date or issue a voucher but I'm not sure how long it can be extended. I think 6 months. At any rate, I'm not sure we'll even use it if it can be extended the 6 months.

What else can I do with them so I don't lose them? (aside from flying someplace soon!) I have been toying with the idea of taking a trip to WDW in August, but not sure if it's in the vacation budget.

We will be taking DD17 to WDW next Feb for dance team Nationals again and we already have a DCL/WDW trip planned for August 2008. Going again this summer is stretching the vacation budget a bit.

It really would kill me to let these go to waste...any suggestions?

I recently had the same problem..........lots of TTFs, but no trips planned until after the expiration date. I called SW and the customer service woman gave me the address to write for an extension (in the form of vouchers, and good for a year ) Sorry, I can't locate the address now, so I suggest you call the # for cust. service. They're very understanding, and helpful too!

I have heard that they will extend it for 6 months, but I haven't heard of anyone extending it longer than that. I would suggest selling your credit on ebay. You'll make back most of the credit!

I was told that the 6 month extension is for RR awards (and would cost $50). The TTF credits can be extended for a year by requesting it in writing, and will be issued in the form of vouchers, at no cost. It's certainly worth a phone call to check it out.

hmmm....I recently had a reward extended by paying the $50 and it was re-issued for one year, not 6 months. I had always heard that extending the TTF was only for 6 months. I will call the customer relations number and double check. If I could extend the TTF for one year that would be perfect! I could use it to fly to WDW for DD's dance team Nationals in Feb.

ok....just got off the phone with SW cust relations. He said he could issue a voucher for an extra 6 months, not a year That still does not really help me.

People sell their TTF on ebay??

Maybe I'll have to take that trip to WDW this summer so these don't go to waste

Now I've got to scramble and make sure that we, or maybe one of our kids, can use them for future travel!
