I booked October airfare the morning it was released, got my usual fare. One week later, I tried again just to see the price difference, it went up $900.
Sorry I really don't fly often, but I'm looking for October flights as well with Southwest. Is $200 a flight considered a bit high? Should I hold out until May to see if there is a better offer for October?
It depends where you're flying from. Chicago Midway to Orlando was 159 each way at the booking and has gone up to 212 now. The lowest I saw lately was 149 while last summer I noticed it as low as 85 each way, but that could've been a special. I would say wait until it goes down a bit unless you plan to fly again in the next 12 months and you can use the credit on another flight.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed they will offer a sale. I've also checked with flying out of Nashville, Indianapolis and Lexington (all fairly close).. so frustrating! We've always done Disney the same week for years and this is the worst prices ever! Been checking Delta and AA also.
