Did anyone else have spy shack flashbacks when Rachel snuck up on Andy, Sam, and Genevieve?
the spy shackHahaha yes! My daughter said TONY outloud.
I was thinking of Tony when she snuck up on them. He got away with it both times he was on,Did anyone else have spy shack flashbacks when Rachel snuck up on Andy, Sam, and Genevieve?
Rachel is for sure deserving. She's winning idols, advantages, isn't always telling people immediately after she gets something, has been able to meld a bit with different alliances, etc.On another note I’m incredibly disappointed in the final four. Least deserving bunch.
This scenario would not break my heart like when Jesse lost to Gabler. If she loses, then I would be okay with a Sam win. I could even be onboard with a Sue win because of her loyalty and being able to keep her idol a secret until the end but only second to a Sam win.I have a gut feeling that Rachel is going to lose to someone in fire.![]()
Anyone but Sue--facelift, lip enhancements and attempts to be younger--no, not her! Totally undeserving. This scenario would not break my heart like when Jesse lost to Gabler. Because she didn't outwit and outplay, or because she is attempting to be younger?Totally undeserving.
I didn't like how long they kept that along with Extinction Island. The thing about Survivor is the fact that once you're voted out you're voted out, it's part of the game. Manipulating that just didn't sit well with me after a bit when they relied on it so heavily similar to how it made everyone made when they used that hourglass a few seasons back and it made a safe tribe actually the ones to go to tribal. So much of that social play was left by the waste side because they were isolated for however long it took. I liked seeing the players duke it out on Redemption Island but I didn't like how it changed the results.Honestly I think they need to bring back redemption island or whatever it was where you could compete and then come back towards the end.
I think we've all grumbled about that but I as I look back a lot of it is because of how Survivor has evolved. It used to be the players were more cutthroat and conniving (not always in the fair game way but often it was) and we do get that from time to time but much of it is that all the players are tend to be almost too aware of things. Like it was nice of the player (I'm blanking) who helped soothe the other player (that I'm blanking on lol) who had nightmares and woke up in the middle of the night but then they felt emotionally obligated to not be hard on them. Like we don't need Jonny Fairplay lying about a relative's death to get ahead lol at the same time give me something without being annoying like Rome, Sue and Teeny. You don't have to be on either extreme.I have felt that in the last several seasons most of the best competitors are always voted out between 10 and 5 as soon as the end game is close.
That's been the case for many years. The first few seasons they didn't really know how to gauge who should win but as time went on they developed the idea of taking a weak player along for the ride to the last tribal especially when it was just 2 at the end you didn't want a strong player next to you, almost no one would pick to have a strong player because you're trying to win $1 million. All of the bottom members end up being fairly safe since they are just being dragged to the end as no one things they will win, while the better members get voted out 1 by 1. The strongest member who wins immunity gets to stay, the next strongest usually gets voted out. And repeat.
Maybe all three of the losers have to either compete and make fire or do another challenge and the worst goes home? Then the last immunity winner is is safe, but has no extra power?I didn't like how long they kept that along with Extinction Island. I think once they got to 3 at the end and the fire challenge was so well known and used it only reinforced that. Maybe it's time to retire the firemaking challenge at the end and do something different so that players are kept on their toes. That last immunity challenge it's been the case multiple times that a player who either never won an individual immunity or barely won them ended up winning the last one and that can dramatically change the direction since they are choosing who goes to fire. Maybe remove that power from their hands and see how things go.
I loathe the fire making challenge and when it was introduced. Time to extinguish itLike it was nice of the player (I'm blanking) who helped soothe the other player (that I'm blanking on lol) who had nightmares and woke up in the middle of the night but then they felt emotionally obligated to not be hard on them.
Oh now that's a great idea! I like do another challenge something that maybe combined strength and mental power like a mini immunity challenge. I just don't like the last individual immunity winner having that power, as a viewer it's cool to see a player who never won end up winning the last one but it really should have stuck to just being "you're safe" and that's it.Maybe all three of the losers have to either compete and make fire or do another challenge and the worst goes home? I thought it was kinda interesting at first just thinking about how in the early days of each season you tended to have one or two people who would be the fire making people for the tribe and I understood where they were going with it because making fire is an important skill for survivor. But I only liked it the first two maybe three times, now I think it can go. People practicing at home just for that end challenge should have been a clue it was time to let it go.I loathe the fire making challenge and when it was introduced. Time to extinguish it
