Survivor: Palau...official Thread

if James doens't put some pants on soon they won't be able to continue to air Survivor in its' primetime family viewing spot. Who wants to see that, cover up, especially during water challenges :crazy2:

I was bummed to see Angie go, she was the strongest player on the team. And all that did was give Ibraheim another 3 days in hellish conditions.

don't you mean a couple more chances to lose it for the team?

Who is the couple that is "pairing" up? I can't remember her name but for just a second when she first came to TC and was lighting her torch, she looked exactly like Amber in the firelight.

Gregg & Jennifer

I thought for sure Willard was going to strip and give Coby his shorts when he got voted off. I guess he chickened out - I think it would have been a grand gesture.

Freely admitting I'm not a big Angie fan, I was sorry to see her go, because she tried so hard.

I think once the first vote was a tie for Ulong, Steph knew which way it was going to go (Bobby Jon and Angie not voting meant 2 men, 1 woman casting votes--she knew the guys would vote Angie out). Since she figured Angie would be gone either way, she wanted to also vote out Angie, so she would be perceived as a "team player" by the guys. After all, she's still on there with them.

I still don't get why the girls switched from James to Bobby Jon. In the first round of voting James got 1 Bobby Jon got 2 and Angie got 2. The girls voted for Bobby Jon, and the guys split btw James and Angie. I assume it was Ibrehem (sp?) who voted for James. If the girls had just stuck with last weeks plan James would have been gone in the first vote and even if it came to a tie btw Angie and James I think James still would have gotten the boot. It think it was a big miscalculation to go after Bobby Jon like that. They don't have the first vote up there so we can see it so this is all assumption that Bobby Jon was voted on by Steph as well as Angie (I believe we saw Angie's vote for Bobby Jon though).

I think this is the best season since season 1. They are just really shaking it up huh?

I think the biggest shock is that Koror wasn't unanimous in giving ibraham immunity. That just shows that the game isn't really being played yet on the koror side.

And, I'm sorry, but if I see ONE PERSON here say "thank god I don't have to look at Angie in her skivvies anymore"...I'm going to lose it. Flame me if you must...but I think some people were a bit hard on her.

Well, I'll say it, but I'll also say that I am sorry to see her go. She was one of the strongest competitors and was fun to watch.

I've enjoyed the season thus far, but I did not like the fact that the show created a situation where Karor had to vote off a member despite winning. That seemed too manufactured to me.

Didn't Coby actually make a poitn of telling Koror that they should all be quiet and gracious while eating in front of Ulong? BOY did that go out the window fast or what??? So rude...

I guess they figure that they don't have to be nice, since when they go into the merge, they'll pick off former Ulong members one by one. That should leave a jury of all Koror.

Anyone have any thoughts on how they manipulate the show?

I watched the first part of last week's online Survivor Live show and they asked Kim whether or not she thought that the producers unfairly portrayed her as lazy. She said that things were pretty much as they were shown on TV. She did say that she participated in the cooking and fire tending, but that she admitted to not really participating in the more physical labor tasks.

So even though I agree that the producers manipulate the viewers by showing things in a certain light, I feel that we have so far been given a pretty accurate view of the game so far.

More of the same. Sorry to see Angie go, she didn't deserve it. James should have been the one to go. And it was really cruel of the producers to have Karor eating in front of Ulong. I don't blame Karor for their vocalizations and enjoying it, but I think they should have sat there during TC, done their vote, then gone elsewhere to enjoy their meal.

I do think this has been the most innovative Survivor in a long time, though! I'm loving this season!

I also think this is a terrific season for Survivor -especially after last season's snooze fest. I do really wish they would give everyone a pair of pants now. Those undies are wearing out fast. At least we don't have smell-o-vision :earseek:

James really should wear that tunic more.

yes but I bet there will be a shuffle/merge...and then coby will get smart and try to have him, gregg, jenn, janu, stephanie, bobby john break up Ian/Tom/Katie.

then coby and the girls will take out bobby john then gregg...

i doubt ulong will be picked out down to nothing.

what tribe was it that was "pagonged" recently...and the one of the last 2 members ended up winning? (am I right in remembering that?)

Beats me why people have made such a big deal of it. I think I said before.....there are bathing suits which are more revealing than her undies were. I just didn't care for -- and it's my personal opinion -- all the tattoos. Personally, I found James' undies to be more objectionable.

I dont want to see Angie or Cobys barely covering crotch underwear nor do I want to see the men in their underwear showing everything they own either. I think that Mark Burnett should make one of the mandatory items of clothing a bathingsuit since they do know that they are going to and island. If they arent allowed to bring them to the island then they should be provided with them once they get there - just like they were provided with shoes when they got to the island..

why cant those of us who dont like the underwear look be allowed to express our feelings freely..

I just think Mark Burnett is getting back to the heart of the game. SURVIVAL. Strandad, on a deserted island...with nothing but the clothes on your back.

no luxury item.
no change of clothes.
true survival.

(except for the hidden first aid kit, contact lense solution, etc. heheh)

i think their shoes were provided more as a safety precaution...as they were running challenges and whatnot.

and yes. I've seen bathingsuits with less coverage.

that was last Survivor when it started men vs women....chris held out to win it all

If you are not a strong swimmer why oh why do you try out for Survivor!! I just don't get it! Except for Africa they all had water challeges.

Coby, I could just smack him!! I hope he gets the boot soon he is too smug!

that is all well and good, but I don't particularly want to have to see little James flopping around after every water challenge. The girls don't bother, at least no one is wearing a thong, but some of the shots of James rival nipplegate for inappropriateness

sorry to beat this dead horse...you might find it inappropriate...but I can assure you...if the FCC finds it inappropriate, it will be blurred out.
