Survivor - Guatemala

I too am surprised so many go crazy over Bobby Jon. We couldn't stand him and thought he was such a baby on last season. Pathetic is putting it nicely!
I don't like BJ either. That's funny that you thought he was a baby. Did anyone notice last night when his team lost the challenge, he was hitting himself of the forehead? He did this last season too. He looked really strange doing it, almost like a child throwing a tantrum.

I really like Margaret, too. But I'm wondering if she along with Steph and Bobby John will get voted off soon? They might be considered a 'threat' later on.

I hate how in reality shows people vote others off because they're seen as a "threat."

To me it's like, "We're all little weaklings so let's vote off everyone who's any good at this game!"

Ugh.

Anyway, Hi guys! Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but that branch that fell on one of the guys arms, I'm surprised no one has wondered if it's poisonous!! :earseek: Who knows what kind of bacteria was on that thing...

hey! A couple people did mention that, and I was thinking it as well. I really can't think of any other reason why he would have had that type of reaction to it and why is showed him next week still feeling so sick. Unless it got really infected??

As for Jamie in that picture. I think he just looks like he's tired and he's saying 'whew the challenge is over' like a sigh of relief. I didn't know he was a twin...who is his twin??

Another thing I was thinking about when Jim got voted off is that they should do a survivor consisting of all the people that got voted off first. That would be fun to watch!

Can you imagine the complex you'd have if you were the first person voted out of that group?! :rotfl2:

I couldn't stand him last time and this season I don't like him any better...that boy is dumb as a stump!! Slapping himself in the head after they lost reminded me of a 2 year old throwing a temper tantrum!

He definately got the better name.

Well that was by far the worst first episode of any survivor my DW has ever made me sit through even she was dissapointed in that show I really hope the AR opener is better.

I'm reading the bios on cbs.com, and this is a weird coincidence ... three of the Survivors -- Cindy, Jamie, and Judd -- have identical twins.

This is when I first heard about the twins. Jamie's reaction at the first event made me think...

OK...I thought it was a great season opener. Watching all the guys barf was pretty amusing. I also think they couldn't have bounced back without an IV..dehydration is serious.

I love Steph and I"m glad she is back and has a second chance. I see her and Gary Hogeboom hooking up an strong aliance.

And Maraget on the other team I see as a strong player. If I were the gals on that team I would drop a few of the guys quickly and get the upperhand.

I think blake is suffering from dehydration but also some type of reation to the spikey branch....

Can't wait until next week....

Loved the opener! Can't wait to see wait happens next week!
I guess so far my favorites are Stephanie and Margaret. Who knows, that
can definetly change. We're only on day 3!

I thought the opener was great and, personally, I'm glad Steph is back. She showed that she was a real fighter and hopefully this time she did end up on a team that has better work ethics. Her reaction to winning the immunity was great too.

Yeah, I thought it was cool when Jeff said that this would be the first tribal council that Steph won't be at since the beginning of last season. Kind of made it more poingnant :)

I am not a big Steph fan, (only because I think her and BJ shouldn't get a second chance) but seeing her reaction to winning immunity even choked me up a bit!

I am surprised that so many people didn't like this intro. Maybe it was everyone getting sick. Personally I loved it. I think this year that are really working everyone.

Anyone else watching old seasons on OLN? I missed the first bunch of Africa, so I skipped it. I am loving the fact that I can see it now.

I didn't think the first episode was exciting like previous ones. DD and I thought it was boring. At the very beginning when all they do is walk up to the ruin and Jeff starts talking DD said "Is that it? That's the beginning?" The rest of the show wasn't much better. Then again none of the shows have been as good as the first. They have become progressively boring.
