Survivor - Guatemala

Well I hope Blake stays. If it ends up being a boring season, at least I'll have something nice to look at. :rotfl:

I can't remember Africa...who's on it again. I've got Australia on the brain.

Where are you guys watching this?
Ethan was on Africa. The only one I can think of right now.

Outdoor Life Network is rerunning old Survivors. Ethan, Lex and Big Tom are on Africa. Those are the only people I know because they were on All-Stars. This is my first time watching this season.

Ok, I am a board newby, what the heck is IIRC/

Channel is OLN.

Africa is the season that I missed and finally get to see. My Gosh, it looks like one of the hardest I have seen BUT... Guat my have them beat based on the first show.

Africa had 2 tribes, one fairly united the other was 50%/50% under 30 vs over 30 and then tonight.... GREAT TWIST. Ya gotta wonder, was it planned all along? Would it have worked as well if it was young/old on the other tribe?

Loven watchen 2 seasons together.

Oh good lord. I won't be heading to Chichen Itza on my upcoming trip. :earseek:

Don't miss it. It was so incredible. Where are you staying? How long? I must admit, that is my fav vacation to date. Depending on where you are staying, I can give you a fab restruant with an incredible dish. For 2, it is chicken, octopus, shrimp, crab, steak, plus. Incred. and when we went 4 years ago it was 15 dollars total.

Prices were fab. but the fun was better.

DO CHICHEN ITZA. While you are there, ask why they have the bags with water everywhere. You will be amazed when you hear the answer, and then look around.

Let me know if you have any q's! We loved it.

Believe it or not, it keeps flies away. You fill baggies 1/2 full with water and tape them up. It works, I was amazed. I have been tempted to do it a couple of times but...

Here is part of an article that covered it:
It is not known why or how this works, but it is worth a try: You can tape sandwich-size zip-top bags half filled with water to your doors. These water bags will repel flies.

Perhaps the reflections in the water make a difference, somehow scaring or confusing the flies. Entomologists know that flies are phototropic, meaning they are attracted to light, but they don't know why these water bags repel flies.

"I have no earthly idea," an entomologist from Iowa State University replied when I asked him how well and how this works. But if it works as well as some say, you could see water bags taped to doors all over--houses, horse barns, livestock yards and poultry houses ... just about any structure that gets flies.

If you want to try this, here are some guidelines:

Use a sandwich-sized zip-top bag. Fill it about half-full with water. If it's completely full, then it doesn't move and movement is said to be important by those who swear by this method. Zip the bag closed and tape the top of the bag to the outside of your door. Replenish the water as needed; there will be some evaporation.

Have anyone looked at the latest Disney Direct catalog? I received one today. On page 55, I swear it is Bobby Jon wearing that Animal Rocks tee! That or HE has a twin as well!

I tried searching Disney Direct for a picture but they just show the shirt. Rats. Just wondering if I am the only one who sees the resemblence.

I usually get that in the mail, but since we just moved, it may be a while before I get it, but I'll definitely look :) That's so funny!

You have me curious, I thought his eyes looked smaller then Bobby Jon's. I will have to compare them side by side when I get a chance!

Here is a scan of the catalog page. I guess I need to find a decent Survivor pic for comparison but my dd thinks it is definitely Bobbie Jon.

Pretty close, but I don't think so, although his bio says he's pursuing a career in modeling.
