....If you think "Outwit, Outlast and Out Play" means "Out Cheat, Out Lie and Out Screw" your other tribemates then he definitely would not win. It is sad in a way that the most deceitful person is the one who wins the prize......
I felt like this once ( or twice... or thrice!) So many times I have sworn off watching Survivor series because so many times the "good guy" was voted out and I felt it was advocating the old saying of how "good guys finish last".
I finally came to the conclusion, (in my old age) that it
is a game and we have favorites and villians and not everyone plays by "our" rules. (I don't cheat when I play a game) Once I got that into my head, I can tolerate watching the show more and even enjoy it when someone like Rob gets ahead of the pack.
There is something about this show that keeps bringing me back to watch and I can't figure out what it is. Human dynamics....living out in the elements.....Jeff Probst.... I don't know what. But to keep my sanity, I have to keep realizing that it is just a game with no real rules and depending on the group of people playing that time around, some will go far with honesty and hard work and others will go far with lying and cheating.
I decided if I can't accept that, then I may as well stop watching the show.
And don't forget, not all winners have been deceitful. Ethan for one was certainly not.
Oh and thank you all for the birthday wishes. I'm wondering how you people knew and then I realized I actually wrote about it myself!
