Survivor 34: Game Changers

I haven't watched Survivor over the years like DW has but when Jeff mentioned Exile Island I said that it would be cool if the place was like a 5 Star Resort this time only to fall asleep as she walked away so I found out this morning about the BOAT! Also was hoping they would oust Sandra so YES!!! I think that they should have a WINNERS ONLY Survivor with the Grand Prize being designated to a charity of winner's choice and some sort of minimal compensation for all just to compete against the best. Also should have a FIRST VOTED OUT SURVIVOR since they are all the ones who never had a chance to really play thus have the least of actual experience on how to play.

I was thrilled they finally got rid of Sandra, "the QUEEN." It was long overdue! But the only downside to that is now they're stuck with whacko Debbie, ugh! I do hope she gets voted out next. I felt so sorry for poor Cochran when she was sobbing on his shoulder. I was surprised Tai didn't play ONE of his TWO idols though, he got lucky on that!

Propst said they looked into a voted out first player season and said they decided against it because there would not be enough 'characters' as most are duds. Something like that. I still want the all crazy past players season.

Couldn't ever stand Sandra and I'm still convinced her first win was one of the least deserving in the history of the game (right behind Jenna Morasco). Buh bye!

I'd like to see Celebrity Survivor - but they need to make it harsh out there again!

Also want to see them off the beach. Put them in the middle of Montana somewhere.

Sandra made sure that the other two winners went out before she did so she's still the only two time winner. Never forget...

The Queen stays Queen!

I like Sandra. I've always liked her. I think her game was brilliant this season as always. Some people say that she flew under the radar her first season and to some extent in Heroes vs Villains as well. I think she's just great at not over playing. She had to play a bigger game this time and she proved that she is one of the best manipulators ever.

Debbie is a disappointment. I thought her antics were amusing the last time she played. This time, she's just annoying.

I was never a big fan of Tai. I get that he's a quirky, cute little man but I don't think he brings much to the game. And hey, there aren't enough creative thinkers on Survivor's production team to come up different clever ways to hide the idol for each camp? That second idol he found makes me a little angry.

I'd like to see them back in Australia or Africa where the conditions were super harsh. I can remember the early seasons when they really had it tough. I think that they are making it more of a social game/skills Survivor and not a "gosh how am I gonna keep from starving to death AND play a social game?" Survivor.

I wouldn't mind them going back to a harsher environment or having less perks. Its obvious that they get to have more than the earlier seasons. I think that Africa was really dangerous. If I remember correctly, they had people on guard with guns in case a lion or some other wild animal came too close. And one of the survivors, the tattooed guy, Len?, Les? whatever his name was came back with parasites that took awhile to get rid of.

I think that it would be really hard to have a Survivor here in the States. Amazing Race can get away with it because they are in and out so quickly but to hide a large encampment for over a month, that would be hard to do. Maybe they should try someplace in South America, way south. I think that they go to the islands because they are easy to do and it brings income to the people that live there.

I really liked the African season, but yes they did say the dangers were much higher than anticipated.

Still, there are remote parts of Africa with no lions, though leopards are pretty much everywhere

I was glad she's out now, never liked her!!!! Did anyone think that Debbie may have a "thing" for Cochran? lol That whole interaction was awkward to watch, you know she wasn't paying attention to his words at all. And who knew she has worked with presidents and diplomats........... hahahaha

I miss the gross food challenges too. Also miss the food auctions. I think Africa was the hardest season.

I miss the gross food challenges too, always enjoyed those. Sometimes it was surprising who could and couldn't eat the stuff. Mind over matter.

I bet Cochran felt uncomfortable when she wouldn't let go of him. I hope she doesn't take any of his advice, I want her gone. I rolled my eyes when she said that about the presidents and diplomats...yeah, right, whatever you say Debbie.

I'm on the fence about Debbie. While I'm sure that she's not on the up and up when it comes to how many careers she's had in her lifetime, I think that she's pretty much a no bs'er. As far as the interaction between Debbie and Cochran, they are both awkward people so it made for an awkward situation. I think that Debbie felt so much relief that she could talk with someone out of the game that she was overcome with emotion. She just couldn't help but hug, kiss and cry on his shoulder. Because Cochran is a nerdy awkward type guy which is much like her own personality (though she might not realize it), she probably felt okay with hugging and mooning over him. Had it been another winner coming in as a mentor, a more rugged guy, she probably would've fist bumped or done a push up or two with him.
