I agree with PPs, I don't believe he would have received any votes from anyone. I think Russell should have won in s19 but definitely not in s20.

And I have to disagree with you. Russell would have beat Candace for sure. And although Jerri would have snagged a few votes, I think Russ would have hit 5. Candace would have gotten no votes.

Unless you are the ultimate winner in Survivor, I don't really consider 2nd, 3rd, etc. as "beating" the other people. People get dragged along to the end for various reasons. Some float under the radar, others are seen as someone who will never get a jury vote. So, just because you get to a certain point in Survivor, doesn't mean you've beaten the other people. Just like in every competition, there is 1 winner, and a whole bunch of losers.

Your hatred for Russell is creepy too. He's a guy on tv that I doubt you're ever met. I think that there are plenty of people on this thread that need to more on.

Back to the topic at hand , I'm disappointed with with the outcome. I'm disappointed that Sandra won, not that Russell lost. For me, either Parvati or Russell should have won. But honestly, I'm not sure which because neither was clearly better than the other. I think I would have been satisfied with a 5-4 vote.

I just hope Nicaragua doesn't suck because it's going to be really hard to beat season 19 in terms of entertainment.

I could not agree with you more.

I don't love Russell. I enjoyed watching him play a game (which I think he plays the best). But there do seem to be many people who have a deep seated hatred for Russell - the person.

Ok, I am not going to go back and read all 100+ pages..just my opinions really..

I was not thrilled that Sandra won...I disliked her gameplay on Pearl Islands, and I disliked it here. She just bugged me..I would have rather seen Parv win, though I didnt like her either...but I was pulling for Russell.

- On the topic of Russell...he was playing a game..I really do not think he is a horrible person. He obviously loves his wife, and from watching them work together in that challenge, have good communication too. TV and editing can make ANYONE look bad..True, he did lie and cheat a bit, but overall, I think he played a game...which is what ultimately what Survivor is..plain and simple.

- I must say, the reunion show needs more time...Jeff is a GREAT host, and there are SOOOO many questions that need to be asked/answered, they need more time to get to it all..

- Rob and Ambers baby was SOOOOO cute!

Overall...a VERY entertaining season...21 will have tough shoes to follow!

while we do know that editing makes someone look like cbs wants the person to be perceived and we sometimes do get the wrong impression on how the person actually is(for example sugar - made to look good but really wasnt such a nice person) we do have to look at how russell acted at both reunions - a sore loser.

We saw it at both reunions - and you cant say it was because he was tired from being on the island because both reunions were shot months after the last tribal council.

I agree..but again, I think he just knew he wasnt gonna win..he tried to "beat" the game, and failed...It is just my opinion, and we all know what opinions are like...as we all have them..and sometimes they stink..LOL..

Technically, Dismagic1 is correct. Russell did outlast 17 other Survivor participants, therefore you could say he beat 17 people.

However, all of this speculation and disagreement over who woulda coulda shoulda won if the final three had been different is really quite ridiculous, and not worth anybody getting their panties in a bunch. The final three were who they were. There is no possible way of knowing or proving one way or the other who would have voted for whom in another scenario.

I am glad that Sandra won, because she really did outplay them in the sense that she made it to the end with absolutely no alliance left. However, based purely on skill, I thought Parvati should have won.

As for taking Parvati, both seasons he played, Russell was loyal to one person. I think he always intended to take her with him.

When I was looking over on EW.com for blogs on Survivor, I saw a clip of Russell being interviewed. It must have been during the couple of week break between seasons 19 and 20. He was talking about Rob and riding his coat tails, making him think that he was all behind him. Wonder what happened to that strategy?

Also, he talked about Parvati. He knew that Rob was going to be there but at that point he did not know about her. He did say that he wanted to team up with her if she joined the group. So he was already planning in advance what he was going to do.

Russell played the game from the first minute of Day 1. Going from one season to the next with just a little break and playing so hard, I can see how it was difficult to change out of the game mode. And then seeing it all play out again on tv. The guy has been living Survivor for almost a year now.

I like Sandra, and I'm OK with her winning, however Pavarti gave me the most jaw dropping in her game play. I would have been happy with her winning as well. I'm sure editing had a lot to do with how Russel looked. For me, I found he livened up the show, but I really didn't care for him as he was shown, so I'm glad he lost. I believe the second place person get's $100,000 don't they? I wouldn't be too unhappy with that. Does the third place person get anything?

They all get money based on when they were voted out...1st out gets like $1000 or something, so they all walk away with SOMETHING

I thought the funniest thing is that both times Russell LOSt he lost to women. What was it that he kept calling the women ? Dumb *itches?

Do you know anyone who is so socially "awkward" that they say something and you're like "Did you realllly just say that??" and they have no idea?

I think Russell is like that to the extreme and he doesn't even know he's like that.

I think there's a complete disconnect between how feels he can treat people and how he feels they should react to it.

He was sooo angry and frustrated and unbelieving when he lost - TWICE. And I really think he just doesn't get that he can't treat someone/talk to someone how he does and they won't take it personally.

He really does think he's the best Survivor, because in his mind he sees one side of the picture. He is a good manipulator. He does't see that everyone dislikes him for it and he won't get a vote. And he just doesn't get why...and I think, because of the way he's wired, he'll never get why...
