I just got done making, tweaking and reviewing my Fastpasses for our trip end of February. It took about 35 minutes. I have an old laptop also, which took longer. I got everything I wanted, although some of the times were a little off. I got the Anna and Elsa, which was the big thing. Didn't try for SDMT. Magic Kingdom was the hardest to decide on Fastpasses, even with two days there. I feel like the other parks were easy, especially Epcot, since Soarin' will be down when we're there.
I agree with the advice to pick really off times and then go back and fix it to what you want. I was hoping the system would magically offer the times I wanted right away, but no. Also, I have to keep telling myself that I don't have to use the fastpasses if I don't want--if the standby line is short, then I can go with it. But my brain is all screwed up and I'm thinking of them as "reservations."
I found out that Jungle Cruise will be down when we're there (Feb. 28-March 4) so that's a bummer. It was down our first trip. I'm starting to think I'll never ride that or Soarin'. Good luck everyone!
