I'm sooooooooooo excited!

My 79 year old mother will be staying with me from Easter to early May. I wanted to treat her to something special for Mother's Day. I looked around for shows she might like, or a fun mother-daughter weekend we could share. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks...let's go "Home"!!! Mom's been on DCL with us, but never to WDW because she didn't want to "slow us down."

Just she and I (sorry kids and DH) are going to spend three wonderful nights in a 1 BR at BWV the 1st weekend in May! I was even able to arrange it so that the trip starts at my house and ends at hers! I know she'll love the BW...she grew up going to the shore. Please send us pixie dust for a safe trip.

Enjoy your very special time alone together at the World where happiness is thier speciality !!!

Have a wonderful time. The memories we shared with our Mom are the best. I know your Mom will love the trip. In case you didn't know, if you need a wheel chair you can get one from the desk at BW. You can use it the whole stay and take it to the parks. Just a thought if she needs one. We took our Mom up until the last months she was with us. I will never forget the wonderful time we all shared. Have a safe trip and let us know how it went.

Have a great trip!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

If you are going on Mother's day - try to get reservations at Epcot for the special Mother's day bunch.

Have a safe and enjoyable trip with your mom!!! :)

That's great! Who's going to get the bed & who's getting the sleeper sofa? The reason I'm asking is, I'll be taking my DF sometime in the future and I don't know how to handle that issue myself!LOL

Have a wonderful time! I was able to visit WDW a few years back with my mom, and it's up there as one of our best trips. She's doing poorly now, but I occasionally bring out the photos and the memories really make her smile.

My 15-year-old son (Pete's Page) recently wrote an article for an upcoming All Ears issue about taking grandparents to WDW, and he mentions this trip quite a bit. It was really special for all of us.

with 2 ladies - they could share the king bed - but I like the sofa bed in the livingroom at OKW - the livingroom is much colder than the master bedroom - I get hot, but mother freezes - so this arrangement works very well for us.

You will have a great time! I just got back from an extended trip with my mom to WDW. We had loads of fun, shopping.. eating junk food and just being together! She is 70 and I am 40 and it was the first time we have ever taken a trip together.. It's worth doing!

We had 2 studios at OKW, then one room at AKL and then moved to the fort wilderness Cabins.. we both thought that the nights we stayed apart but still close to each other at OKW were the most enjoyable.

That is so wonderful! I hope you have a great time! Although my mom and dad went on several vacations with us, we never had the opportunity to take them to WDW with us. My mom passed away in 1998 and my dad suffered a stroke in 1997 and is in a wheelchair and physically unable to make such a trip so I'll just have to be satisfied with memories of our other vacations together. I hope you and your mom have many wonderful memories of your trip together!
