Surprise... It's Someday!! A Dec 2010 PTR!!

What a wonderful sweet daughter you have. That is just too cute.

She is a very cute Tinkerbell. We are stil ldeciding what Claire will be this year, but it might be Ariel, at least that is what she keeps asking to be.

Brenda first asked if she could be Tinkerbell again. I should it was ok, but maybe she should think about another fairy this year. She moved on to Silvermist when someone thought she would look cute since she has the longer, darker hair.

Your daughter is such a sweet amazing person! That story was great!
Thanks, I think she is pretty great. Don't get me wrong, she a typical 4 year old...SO full of energy but she can really melt your heart sometimes.

 Brenda is so sweet, what a lovely story. You are raising two wonderfully loving and intelligent children, I hope Bill and I get to meet all of you!

We are all hoping to meet up with you and Bill. Brenda will be full of energy but you'll get to see her bubbly and happy side. Gavin on the other hand...well, we'll have to just see how the day is for him. We should bump into each other for sure since you will be at Pop now... It is Pop, right?

She definitely wins the sweetest daughter award!!!
Thanks, I think so too. She simply amazes me sometimes. I have to be the luckiest mom in the world to have Brenda and Gavin. They are both spitfires most of the time...and so hard to keep up with (more Brenda than Gavin) but I don't think I would have it any other way.

Tomorrow is Brenda's open house for Preschool. She is slightly disappointed that mom and dad are going along. She so wants to be a big girl. I explained that we only go with her tomorrow... after that it is all her and her friends. A friend is keeping Gavin for us so both of us can go and give her all the attention she deserves. She is turning into such a big girl.

This is a rough week for feeling like my kiddos are getting older. First Brenda starts Preschool tomorrow and then Gavin turns 3 on Sunday... Wow! Time goes so fast. I am so glad that we decide to do Disney this year. It seems like if it wasn't this year, we would blink and the kids would be teenagers. I know this is a HUGE exaggeration, but its just how I feel lately.

It only gets worse, Tyler is in Gr. 11, Eryka is in Gr. 3 and Emma started Gr. 1 this year. Ty won't even go to Disney with me anymore :(

I'm a blubbering mess after that story about Brenda buying the Mater for Gavin! BE PROUD MOMMA!

Tears starting again....

What a precious moment. :lovestruc

I can't believe Henry is 3 either...where does the time go? Some days are so long, but the years are so short!

looks like you have some great ideas for the toy story birthday party! we are doing one too- we are doing a joint bday for my son and my nephew. my DS is turning 3 as well and my nephew turning 4. we are doing it at pump it up, a bounce house place. we figured just cheaper to combine them into one party to save a few bucks! We bought some cute toy story stuff at walmart and ordered a cute cupcake cake from sam's. it is a sheet cake, but then has cupcakes all around it too. their party is this saturday! the bounce house place won't let you bring in anything except drinks and dry snacks (chips etc.). you have to order pizza from them, so we are doing that, but i am making some pretzels- bought a huge tub of thick pretzel sticks at sam's and will dip in chocolate and roll in sprinkles or m&ms (like they do at disney!). i even got mickey confetti sprinkles at disneyland last weekend that i can use! or let the kids make their own at the beginning of the party- dip them, roll them and let them dry, then take them home at the end?

for games, what about anything like toy story mania- ring toss or something of that nature?

So glad Brenda is okay!!!! what a relief. and OMG- that story of her getting the toy was so darn sweet. that is when you know you have done your job as a parent (congrats!)- teaching them to be kind like that. ;):thumbsup2 brought tears to my eyes.

on losing the disney spirit, we all get in a rut sometimes. you have LOT going on right now- with the kids back to school and all that. after you have been waiting so long, sometimes, it just gets to be too much and you get tired of it. so just cheer up and know the trip will be here soon and think about all the wonderful memories you will create together as a family! I got in a bum mopey mood after our last trip (that was until DH decided to surprise me by buying DVC!). we all get it sometimes. just think about Brenda saving her money for disney and how excited she is. you can get that same excitement back too!:wizard:

Oh please don't tell me that! I want the kiddos to stay this size forever...well, maybe not forever but at least for the next 20 years or so! :rotfl:

I am so proud of Brenda. She has even asked if we could go get Gavin a toy story car. We saw them on TV and thought they were cool. I said we would see and she said that she would take it out of piggy too. She is such a sweetie and so loving to others. I must admit, it is Brenda who "reminds" me it is time to go through the clothes and shoes and give them people who need them. I try to remember all this because she is one of the most active children I have ever met and has a hard time listening when she is excited. :rotfl2:

Time just seems to slip by when you aren't noticing. You are right, on a daily basis the days seem long, but those years slip by in the blink of an eye. I am going to stop blinking now! :rotfl:

I

A bounce house party sounds great! The weather is supposed to be beautiful here this weekend...hopefully the forecast will stay that way. I did find a Ring Toss at the card and Party store...and it was on CLEARANCE!!!!!! I actually found a bunch of stuff there. It was awesome! Our local Sam's doesn't have a bakery. There is one with a bakery about an hour from here and there cakes are awesome. I ordered Gavin's from Walmart. We have 2 Walmarts. One does a great job, and well, the other...not so much.

I do think my mood is improving. I just think there was so much going on and Disney was the last thing on my mind. Of course when money is tight, like it has been, the first thing you think of is if I just cancel that trip I can get my money back. Thats all fine and good but I think I would devistate 2 little kids that I love more than life itself...and their daddy too. I just have to figure other ways to cut corners.

We had a very funny moment today in Preschool that I needed to share. Today was the day where the parents went with the kids and stayed. The day is a typical day for the kids but the parents are there to comfort....which Brenda didn't need at all. In fact, she told me several times that if there was something else I needed to do I could go, she was good! :rotfl: So everyone comes over for "rug time". That is your typical calendar/ weather/ sharing time. Well, the teacher tells all the students how she got married in August so she had a different name than she did last year. This is where Brenda raises her hand to talk... She says "Yea, Mom told me that. That is why I brought you a card (which she did) today. I wanted mom to write congratulations on getting a husband (which she did) but Mom said that was too mean (which I did)?" I almost died right there. :rotfl2: :lmao: Her teacher is great though. She was laughing till tears were rolling down her cheeks.

Then it came time for the students to tell about their summer. Comes time for Brenda's turn and I am starting to dread whatever it is that is going to come out of her mouth. :rotfl: She tells the kids that "she did most of what everyone else did, only not as much. We are saving money to go to Disney World." Of course I let out a sigh of relief...I think she is done. She goes to sit down, stops, and adds... "I will bring you all back a treat from Disney World since we can't afford to take you all!" Oh my gosh! Again, the teacher busts out..and I am left thinking...what did she just promise everyone?!? :scared1: So now it will be a matter of finding something cheap! :lmao: I asked her in the car what she wanted to bring everyone and she tells me one of those Mickey Mouse Ice cream on a stick! :rotfl2: When I asked her how we were going to get them home she said in the cooler bag we use to bring groceries home from the store. She was such a pistol today. Good thing she is so cute! :thumbsup2 Any idea how much those rice crispy mickey heads are?????

That is hilarious! Kids say such funny things sometimes. You could probalby go to the dollar store or someplace like that and just give each kid a sticker.

Last trip I brought home 27 Mickey head rice crispy treats which I got with left over snack and counter service credits

I'm not sure about the price of the rice krispie treats but you could also look into the bulk, individually wrapped candies or maybe stickers. If you plan on going to Downtown Disney one day I would check out Mickey Mart, everything is $10 and under so you may be able to find an inexpensive little trinket there. Oh, and you're kids are so adorable, smart, and caring!

I think I will be hitting the dollar store and see what I can find. Thanks!

That is a riot!:lmao:
Kids say the darnedest things! Brenda gets so excited that her mouth run non-stop sometimes. Its so funny to just sit and listen sometimes...and then sometimes you have to remind her she is talking just to hear herself talk...wonder where she gets that from? Must be Jon's family! :rotfl2: :lmao:

That may be wear our snack credits go. Luckily, there is only 15 in her class so that wouldn't be so bad...the problem is they all have "teen teachers" since the Preschool is in the high school. There are like 24 of those through out the 2 hours she is there! :scared1:

We are definitely taking a day at DTD! I will have to check the store and see what I can find. It won't be anything to great. I have thought about even buying some tattoos off Ebay and letting her take them in when she gets back.

Thank you for the kind words about Brenda and Gavin. I am truly blessed to have them as my children.

Did anyone happen to look at the calendar today???? I'll give you a hint...It is September 21!!!! And does anyone know what movie came out today...only the NEW TINKERBELL MOVIE!!!!! Brenda has been so excited because she is such a Tinkerbell fan. I rented it tonight but it was to late by the time we got everything do to watch it. We are going to keep it another night and then have a mini-Disney day tomorrow night! I will have to post all about it when I am done!

I went to Walmart as soon as I dropped off the girls to buy it, of course I couldn't wait for Emma to get home to watch it so I had to watch it without her :lmao:

We haven't watched it yet. That is on the agenda for tonight. I think I will make some Mickey cookies to go with the movie! Just bought the Mickey head cookie cutter from online so I should try it out!

I made a special trip to the Disney Store after work yesterday just so I could get my copy! I can't wait to watch it! Make sure you visit Pixie Hollow during your visit! It's so much fun and one of my favorite character meet & greets of all time! We usually visit first thing at 10 when it opens but I've found if you go right after the fireworks at night, the line is much shorter! I think Brenda will love it! :tinker:

Just now subbing. I have enjoyed reading your ptr to this point. I could feel the emotion and joy so much when your hubby said you can go to Disney World.

I also got very teary eyed with what Brenda did for Gavin (love the name, our 8yr olds name is Gavin) Children are naturally seflish, and when they do things like this, it's just so amazing and touching, and true to their hearts. So sweet.

I can't wait to be on your journey with you. How did the free dining come about? Have you done any planning on where you will be eating?

Your daughter is very sweet and very funny. I love it...there is a store at Downtown Disney that has things $10 down to $1.

Thanks for the good wishes for our trip. We finished at Disney yesterday after four great days and are now on Marco Island for eight days.

Hi All! Today my baby is 3! Where did the time go. I have been working like a mad woman to get everything ready for Gavin's party today. I finally finished up last night around 2 AM. We are just starting to get ready for Church then it will be off to get the cake and things and head to the party. I will be sure to post some pictures later of the Birthday Boy and his Toy Story Party.
