I have the feeling that the 11:00pm time is for the start of the show and not the announcement. I believe that Disney is going to make you watch most if not all of the program before they make their announcement, Hope I am wrong.

I thought the same thing so I went to ABC's website and looked at their schedule for tonight. Technically, the Dick Clark program doesn't start until 11pm. The program leading up to that is the 40th Anniversary Party. So who knows?

Maybe they are going to give away free one day tickets. Universal/IOA did that a couple of years ago during the super-bowl.

Ok I see it now. 8/7 central is the 40 year celebration of "Rockin' New Years Eve" hosted by Jenny McCarthy and Fergie. And at 10/9 central is the start of the ACTUAL show hosted by Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest.

I am also here in NE Indiana. It appears that it is on from 10-11 here, then break for news at 11, then return to countdown at 11:30.

It's not on just before that? I get my ABC from the US (WDAZ) and it has news on at 11pm Central. But the show is on the hour right BEFORE the news.
