We are leaving in 2 weeks! :cool1: It is going to be DBF's first trip. I really wanted to do SOMETHING to suprise him, I just don't know what. :confused3 I want to make this trip very memorable and enjoyable for him because I will just DIE if he doesnt like it!! I really don't know what to do. I am willing to spend some money, but not too much since the vacation already cost too much lol. :rotfl: If anyone has any ideas any help would be appreciated!! :thanks:

It is probably a long shot to get a reservation but I would try for the "Around the World at Epcot" tour.
I did this for my DBF on his first non-one day only WDW trip. You spend an hour learning to ride it and then an hour touring World Showcase before it opens. He loved it. Great guy-thing.
It is $80 ($68 if you have AAA) paid when booked.

Do you have the Water-Parks and more tickets? How old his he? Does he like video games?
Then, I'd do DisneyQuest. I might sound a little lame but it is a nice thing to do on an evening at DTD. DBF loved it. There were old 80s games. We spent about 3 hours. It was fun.

Hope you have fun. Did you remember your ADRs so he doesn't have to wait forever for dinner?

Showing my ignorance here, Is DBF dear boy friend? If so the Segway idea is great. I'D LOVE IT. You could also rent a water craft for him or just buy him a special souvenir and have it delivered to the room. How about a special dinner at the California Grill or Citricos the Blue Zoo? :)

I'd agree, you can't get more "guy" than "high tech toy". He'd probably love the Segway tour. As a neat little free surprise, be sure to take him to ride up front on the monorail as well. :)

Look no further than my suggestion:

Disney Enchanted Call

Choose Mickey and Good Morning and then select your relationship to the person receiving the call and that your special plan for the day is "Taking a trip" and this is the phone call they get:

Good morning, pal! It's me, Mickey.

Your friend told me you've got a real big day planned.

And that you're taking a trip!

Oh boy! That sounds like fun! Gee Pluto, what should we do today? Guess we could go fishin' or visit Donald and Goofy or go on a picnic with Minnie. I think he wants to do all three. Guess Pluto and I better get movin' then.

Welp, I hope you have a swell day, pal! And I'll see ya real soon!

Im using it on my upcoming trip with a Disney newbie and I think its a great way to get the vacation started before you even leave for the airport that morning. :thumbsup2

DBF and I are also leaving in 2 weeks, and this will also be his first trip to WDW. I wangted to surprise him with something special. DBF and I are into good food and wine so i ordered a basket from the WDW florist, with wine, cheese & crackers and chocolates, the baskter also comes with 2 disney wine glasses. I thought this would be a great start to a special weekend, hopefully this idea will help. if interested u can go to wdwflorist.com! have a great trip!
Erin
