Support group for us no pin people!?

When you first set up a new email and then log onto to Disney and save some vacations and itineraries, the first email you get back immediately is the "Welcome To Disneyworld.com" email which basically says "Congratulations you have created an account on Disneyworld.com now unleash your account features blah, blah, blah....create a profile...."

Do you go click the Create a Profile button and do this step or ignore this email and just wait?

I am trying to follow the steps on page 41 (JGALLANT's advice) and tomorrow I am suppose to go in and delete my saved offers. It doesn't say anything about responding to this Welcome email, only responding to the Create a Video email.

Thanks!!

That's odd?

I don't think I have ever seen so many discounts and packages at one time! Have you?

Yea, this is the most amount of discounts I can ever remember in a single season. I have never seen a public discount for 40% room only! I have never recieved a pin before this year either. I am beginning to think that WDW will be a little crowded this year !!!:scared1:
We are not real worried about as we are staying at the Poly just for the vacation, and not doing the WDW parks (unless we gat a 40% off everything code!). We are planning on enjoying the Poly club level and relaxing. We are going to all the parks included in the "Orlando flex pass Plus" instead of Disney parks this year, although we will be staying at the Poly for a few days. We are also staying at Royal Pacific, and going to Universal.

For the record, I never recieved a welcome e-mail, and I did recieve a pin ???
If you dont get the welcome e-mail dont worry, you still can get a pincode.

I did receive the email so should I create a profile or ignore the email?
Sorry if my first post was confusing.

HAS gotten the "Explore your Resort" email?
Who is just getting Junk Mail? ( snowglobes, letterheads, etc? )

Just curious, I am certain that the Explore Your Resort will MOST definitely end with a happy ending! Have yet o see it not work out ( correct me if I am misinformed... seems they get PINS within 2-3 days? NO? )

Those that have got NADA... We need to work on you guys!

If you want help, I think there are people here who will help, I know I am willing to try to get a PIN for you, just to give me something to do! And because I want you to get them so badly.

Respond if your interested!

On the yahoo email account that I received a PIN, all I got was the Welcome email and the video email and then the PIN two days later.

At my work email, I just received the letterhead email over the weekend.

At my real gmail account, all I received was the Welcome email. That is the email I have a ressie booked with.

The funny thing is whenever I get an email from Disney Destinations, and I call them, my email address has been changed to whatever email address got the email so I have to have them change it back to my real one. They seem to have linked all my email accounts to my name in their system.

ETA - I have saved itineraries and vacations for different resorts and packages to the email accounts and have never received the "Explore Your Resort" email.

Good Luck today!
So you have NOTHING SAVED? ( No vacations )
and do you have itineraries saved?

I hope you get good news today!

correct I have nothing saved and I have one itenairy saved it is for off site. I did get the exit survey the day i saved a package and the day i deleted the package. I could really use some good news today as my dad is not doing well.

I did. Because I saw that I had to edit my communication preferences.
Good Luck!

Here's hoping we all get pixie dust today.

Over the weekend I used my husband's work computer to create a new account with a different address (our rental property) and new gmail account. I also added a middle name. Then I created a non-Disney-hotel itinerary w/no tickets. I also changed my profile to add email communication and picked a favorite resort. This was the first time I got a welcome note.

I did that Saturday and then ~36 hours later I logged in, added a new itinerary w/Disney hotel, shopped for a hotel, saved an offer, deleted the offer, took the survey (not good value), then deleted the new itinerary.

Right after that I got the video email.

So, now I'll wait a day or two. If I don't see anything, I'm going to create a saved reservation and delete it after 24 hours.

I was so happy to see this this morning. It's not the same as getting your very own pin code in the mail/email, but I'll take it!! I priced out the two scenarios we were considering (both with % off room and with FD to see which was a better deal for us) and turns out the Deluxe is cheaper if we use the % off room and then add QS dining, and the Mod is cheaper if we go with Free regular dining and pay rack rack on the room- either way is a significant savings so I'm geeked!:thumbsup2 Now I just have to bite the bullet and book :) DH and I had a deal that if I lost the weight I want to then I could book the trip (he's trying to lose too - but his reward is a flat screen TV), but I may have to do some convincing that we should book anyway...just to lock in the deal ;)

No pins today guys??
Or is everyone putting it to rest with all of the great Disney Deals?

Just wanted to say thanks! If it weren't for these boards, I'd never know about these deals as early as I have. I called this morning and switched our free dining to the 40% off. It saved us almost $300 more. Now the cost is where I wanted it to be. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now I can relax and start the countdown to our vacation.

Nada here.:sad1:

I deleted some itineraries Friday, so maybe that still needs a day or two to percolate. I've stopped holding my breath. Also, I use Mac computers and even though I've been allowing pop-ups, I've never gotten the survey even when I just "x" out of my Safari screen. Maybe I'll try going through Firefox instead (although I'm certain I've tried in the past). Must be an IE/PC-based browser thing. :confused3

Glad there are some new discounts out there at least. Maybe some will get extended into the fall/winter! :surfweb:

Stormin',
The only time I've gotten the survey is when I use IE. I tried Safari and Google Chrome (both with pop-ups unblocked) and got nothing. It happens every time when I use full IE (can't have plug-ins disabled).

I wanted to add a little anecdotal information to this mulitple email addresses thing and how it is probably not fooling Disney unless you don't use your birthdate information. :confused3

I already had a room reservation under my main family email address. And I had an account on the mydisneyvacation where I had created/deleted/changed/sneezed at/blinked at iteneraries trying to get a Pin to save some cash on my vacation.

I came to this thread, read all the tips and began to create numerous email addresses on gmail, etc.

The one that is the point of this story had a different name...I used the same last name but put Matt instead of Matthew..but my address was different..I used my parents. My phone numbers were ALL different...I didn't even use the one that was tied to my regular resort reservation...all new numbers..my work number, my daughter's cell number, etc. The ONLY thing that was the same was my birthdate because I was afraid if I got a pin, since I changed everything else, I would need something to verify it was really me. Maybe dumb, maybe superstitious, but still..that's the only thing I left the same.

I got the teaser email last week which was just a regurgitation of the public deals out at that time.

Called today with the public deal to get 40% off my deluxe stay. And when they confirmed all my information, the email address they had in their reservation system was this 'new' one I had created. I was stunned...I asked them how they got that because I had never used it to book anything..she said she didn't know just that it was in the system. I had it changed back to my regular family email address.

But I went out and logged into both accounts and every piece of information is different except my last name and birthdate and they had it linked to my resort reservation.

I'm sure there is more reason than that why I never got a pin, and now it's a moot point for me since my dates worked out, but it was a lesson that they still knew who I was.

Very interesting this fancy Disney system.
