Support group for us no pin people!?

yep - I've had them say the same thing to me. I couldn't choose which resort, said something to that effect and CM said "yes I can see all the searches and quotes you'v been doing". I said "really?! but there would be MILES of them!" and she said - "yes- there are a lot".

Also with my dining reservations - I was moving my dates and making and cancelling dining reservations and the CM said "gee you've got a lot of reservations happening"

Disney are ALL KNOWING!!


Since my pin, I ve stayed off the site...and stopped calling. Hopefully things like this delete off the system after a certain amount of time! I would hate for the "Oh god, here she comes" reception when I get there!

I don't blame you for that. I feel that way already and I have over 7 months left to go.

BTW, today, I got the letterhead on another one of my emails. I guess they do work on Saturdays. LOL

Before I recently started specifically creating accounts hoping to get pins, I had about four or five accounts going simply because I could never remember what email I used to make reservations, so I accumulated accounts. I wish I could have kept better track of them, but I didn't.

Anyhow, I don't see that it is any of the CM's business how many times we want to save resorts and make and cancel dining reservations. Isn't that why Disney set this up?

I think it is not the CM's place to make these comments on the phone, like, "gee, you've got a lot of reservations happening." Yes! duh! It's a Disney vacation, don't you want me to eat as many TS meals as possible? lol. I don't know... it's like, mind your own beeswax and save your comments for your co-workers. It is unprofessional imo, to make these comments to prospective Disney guests.

Disney gives us so many choices in resorts and restaurants. Are we supposed to be robots that say I will stay here, I will eat here, I will never change my mind. I don't know. They really need to keep the personal comments to themselves.

And the CM that deleted a couple of accounts of one of our posters? What nerve! I would not be happy about that.

I received the explore your resort email on ONE email account. I did not receive a pin. I do not plan on doing any more tweaking. I'm done. If I ever do get a pin, I'll report back. :)

I'm going to need to call at some point to cut a day or two off of our trip, and I hate the idea of a CM seeing all of my emails, etc. They haven't said anything to me the last few times, but I feel weird about it now - sort of feel like they're judging us. I actually went to three of my 5 new accounts and deactivated them (followed Jgallant's advice about clicking the link at the bottom of the welcome email). I still have two open, in addition to my original email with the reservation on it, but I'll probably get rid of those soon too, and then just wait and hope that a public offer comes out. Thank you for the support and advice. It's been fun trying, and I'm so happy for all of you who received pins!!!:cool1:

Honestly, I know a good deal will come out even if it is a GP. Dont give up! Can you at least brush your teeth tonight without boiling water first? !! If so, then you still have some good luck in you!
 
I've been trying various things with my existing accounts. I created a new account today with a middle name and a different address. I'm following the instructions exactly (I've done all the things in the instructions before, but different orders). I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
 
A note to those using g-mail, check your spam filter. The pin code e-mail from Disney was identified by g-mail as spam in our account. On our g-mail page I had to click on the “more” link on the left which then allowed the spam link to display.

Why?? You are giving them your money. You are doing them a favor by supporting the disney business. They are not doing you a favor by giving you a sale. I am sure they shop for the best deal for things in their non disney life. Don't feel funny
 
What is the Explore Your Resort Email? I don't think I have ever got that one on any of the email accounts I have set up. I have gotten the create your own video and the download your letterhead but I am not sure about the Explore Your Resort.

It is basically an email that says this:

If it's o.k., I'd like to join the pinless pity party. I've been obsessed with getting a pin for months. I have our vacation priced out in every which way possible...40% off, free dining, kids stay/play free, 7 for 4. I was lucky enough to get us free dining at WL. But, I had to upgrade to woods view to get it. I keep telling my DH (who DEFINITELY thinks I'm crazy), that we could save a bunch more money if I keep calling Disney back and happen to be able to land a standard view room at WL with free dining. He said he could care less which one we stay in and thinks I should just be happy with what I got and stop obsessing. So, the way I rationalized staying with the woods view room in my mind is to say, "Eh, I'll keep watching for a 40% off pin and then the price will go back down to where I want it!" Wishful thinking, I'm thinking....But, I just set up yet another e-mail account to use on the Disney site. Pitiful I tell ya!

But, seriously, good luck to all of you hoping for free dining tomorrow. I hope you get the resort (and category!!!!) that you want. :cheer2:

Just curious, I am certain that the Explore Your Resort will MOST definitely end with a happy ending! Have yet o see it not work out ( correct me if I am misinformed... seems they get PINS within 2-3 days? NO? )

the only email I have gotten is the welcome when I created a new account on Mon. of last week and the create your video one on Tues. which I did on wed and then saved a package on thurs evening and deleted it friday afternoon before going out of town,

I just went over to the disneyworld web -site to check out the 40% thing.
1) It says "YOUR CLIENTS .... " when you go to the price your room.
2) It won't let me select dates, it stays on May .

and 3 read the fine print... NOT AVAILABLE ON SUITES OR CLUB LEVEL!

Still... a great deal! ( PLUS one of the discounts is for 30 % of of VALUE! )

Yes I called to ask about adding the Dining ( Regular ) and for 5 of us for ten days ( ADULTS - well Adults by Disney standards ) it was only 1040 difference!

* I am starting to think maybe a nice CM decided to bless us with some pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

But I JUST called over the weekend.
(( Our total package for 10 days POLY CL with tickets and dining for 5 'adults' was just over 5000 )) We are traveling with another family so there are 9 of us in total. The grand total was 8500! Still :cloud9::beach:
