Support group for us no pin people!?

Well nuthin' all day. Again.

I rebelled today too and deleted all my itins' and saved offers' after I got that "explore your resort" email. I'm gonna go try that ticket only pricing thing that jdd suggested. Can't hurt except to crush my hopes even further if I still don't get one. I have an excel spreadsheet with all my profile usernames and passwords since I can't remember them all anymore. This is addicition at it's worst.

Hey I have a big chart too! Serious.

It includes the email address, the date I signed it up, what I saved and how many itineraries, passwords are all the same, and all emails are on the iphone for speed of checking... ummm... I think thats it!

But alas, another day another downer.
 
I need support group help! :worship: My pin-envy levels have spiked!

Here's the story. DSis is largely responsible for my current bout of gotta-get-back-to-WDW mission, after she suggested a short trip with Mom & exchange-DB right after school lets out (not that I didn't already want to go, oh, yes. ;) )

Mom: probable yes, but had to verify a schedule item that may delay us one day.
DSis's schedule and other things interfere with the following weeks. So there's a limited window of opportunity here.

I wait, price, think, look, read here, create iteneraries, etc.. Finally today, I call about pins.
Nope. None in my name (of course). Mom's the sort who could easily toss out "junk mail", so the nice reservations lady checks her name too. Nothing.
But DSis? Yep! She's got free QSDP (I don't think she even noticed, since she was interested in reg DP:lmao:). Woo hoo!

I got a temp hold on our dates with the DP upgrade. It's all workable,even if we need to shift by a day.
DSis is interested but has to check on things. DMom thinks it's going to work out.

Then DSis calls back. Seems DBiL forgot to mention an international trip that interferes with her side of the family's plans. Mom would be interested in still going, but, um, Mom, this is DSis's code. Nope. Won't work. Fat chance! :laughing: So now, having an actual linked reservation "on hold" until tomorrow, I kind of think I'm off the elusive pin list for good.
On the bright side, if we can get this motley crew of ours to coordinate dates, maybe we can work something out later with DSis's pin. And my kid would love being with cousins at the park. There's still hope, so I can still Disney-obsess, right? But wouldn't it just be easier for Disney to just send me the codes in the future?
 

I'll tell you what you guys are livesavers!

Whenever I feel like I've gone overboard obsessing about getting a pin, playing 'games' with the Disney website and my various e-mail addresses, trying everything under the sun and getting no-where...I come here to this wonderful thread and realize that not only am I not alone - I'm not even THE most obsessed one out there!!! :dance3:

Thnkaing of calling tomorrow to see if I got a PIn or if my DH got one. Heck... maybe my DD of 16 yrs has one. Or maybe even my DS who is 2?? Seams like Disney likes to throw the PINs everyone .....

But us PINless DISers in this support group.

btw, should I just call and give them the names of everyone in my house?

Hello. My name is Shannon and I am pinless.

My story begins last year. While Disney was doing the "Get in free on your Birthday" promo I signed up my best friend under my email address so we could plan a trip for her birthday. We never went, but she was still connected to my email in Disney files. So last week I log in to check my mail and what do I find? A pin in her name for FQSD expiring August 14. That's when my obsession began. I know have six (6) emails and itineraries set up with the Disney site in hopes of getting some kind of pin for after August. One in my DH's name, one in our roommate's name, and four in my name. Today I may set up another one in my bff's name to see if one will come under her name. And I'm about to call and see if there is one attached to my name. :sad2: This is what has become of my life.
 
So I THOUGHT I was going to neglect Disney today, but... here I am!:lmao:
I called last night to check for the people we are traveling with, nothin'.
I hate calling but I think I am getting to the point that I don't care anymore.
I tried using the chat option, but they said they can't tell me if I have anything on line I have to call. Now I am a bit :eek: to call, I am not sure WHICH email address to reveal?!!! I should ask them which one THEY have! Or give them two?
Good thing we get a different CM each time, it will be REALLY freaky if we start to get the same ones a second or third time around, and become on a first name basis relationship!

Oh well, maybe I will just call again, what do I/THEY care...

My addiction runs deep, I went to work to check my emails there twice in the evenings when I was supposed to be off at home! (( Last night at 7:00 )) and (( Thursday night at 8:00 ))

WHat Disney Number did you call?
I know there are several, do you think this matters?
I think soon I will get transferred to a supervisor...

Heres my thing when I call:

First time I called to get rates, etc - I did all that automated thing and the system seemed to find me - had my email address and everything.

Well I have reservations and everytime I have called since the automated information seems to find me but they tell me my name isn't on the account - my husband, and 2 daughters come up but not me.

This last time I called I used my old address. (I had changed one of my newer accounts to an old address hoping that would help). Well the "system" (automated) found me but the girl on the phone said it didn't find me, it just set up a new acct or something. They never did find me with that email.

So I have been told that everything is per household not per email address and they can't look you up by email address just address...

I don't get how some people report that they looked up themselves and their DH, etc. It just doesn't seem to work for me.

When I called, all I was asked for was my name and zip code. Granted, our zip code doesn't have a lot of residents, if that matters... I do think I confirmed the street with the CM.
Then I gave my Mom's last name (which she already figured out based on my maiden name) and zip.
Then my sister's last name and zip.
I only needed email addresses when it came time to confirm our hold (the one that we are going to lose because of DBiL's forgotten trip). I am SO ready to go to WDW. Maybe I can arrange another volcano to interfere with DBiL's trip so the rest of us can go to Disney! :rotfl:
Um, sorry for those of you who have been affected by the Iceland volcano. What a horrible situation. :sad1:
