What pin are people looking for anyways? For the summer theres been several open to the public and visa discounts. Fall discounts have not been released but most are expecting free dining to be announced soon.

So for fall pins the only one I know of that is substantial would be the 40% off deluxes. That would equal or exceed slightly the discount with free dining.

So what other pins are people really wanting that would exceed other currently available discounts?

I have too. Then I finally did get an email from Disney Destinations and it was only to create a video, so I did and nothing since.

I'm hoping for the 40% off at deluxes that are good most (but not all) dates through the end of the year. The discounts look like they would cover my dates in December from what others have posted they received. FD isn't that big of a deal to me since it's just me and my DS4 and I would save more money with a room discount then free food.

Yep, that would be the one --> 40% off deluxe for dates after Aug 14.
I prefer this to free dining.

Either the FD or 30% off the moderates for us. Right now we have 2 rooms at POP. If we could get 30% off I would like to get a Ft Wilderness Cabin and then we could prepare some meals there to save money on buying food at the parks.

We are 4 adults so FD would come in real handy if we could get that pin code as well.

Well we're not going during the summer, we're going in November when I return to the US. So we can't use the summer discounts and FD is not offered in November except for last year and the rumor is that it won't be offered in Nov this year. I too am hoping for the room only discount both because I would love to upgrade to a deluxe and because a friend is joining us partway through so I don't think she would qualify for free dining because she's staying in the room with my mom and I. I'd still be happy if we got FD and my mom would probably pay for a few of my friend's meals if we got it and my friend didn't. But with FD, we'd still end up paying for tips, appetizers, alcoholic drinks, and restaurants that aren't included.

I'd love a deal because even though my mom is saving to pay for the whole thing at a mod resort, I feel bad because I can't pitch in since I spent my money volunteering in a post-conflict west African country for a year So yeah, 26 is a little old to be saying 'mommy, I want an ice cream Mickey' and I'll be saying it a lot after eating Liberian food.

I myself am looking for 40% off so I can book a deluxe resort other than WL or AKL or two rooms at moderate....

oh yeah and discounts are only for summer dates through to the 14th of August and we don't want free dining.

I didn't book a bounceback before we came home from our Easter trip because I was so confident that my wife, the pin code queen, would receive the 40% off pin. Nothing for either of us so far but I will remain optimistic!

I almost didn't bother logging into Disboards today because I get so depressed seeing all the Happy Pin People Posts. I am truly happy for those people, but geez I feel like a loser!

So glad to find this thread, as I am among the "Pitifully Pinless Who Neglect Their Children/Household Chores/Spouse/Dog In Search of The Elusive Pin Email/Postcard."

What's worse is DH doesn't even know what I'm up to...it's a covert op!:cool2:

You can't combine discounts. It's 30% off or FD, not both.

I added one more profile with a different address Friday night. Two itineraries; one needing accomodations and one non Disney hotel. We'll see what happens.
