We all know that I have issues. Bag issues mainly. I am going to start manufacturing my own park bag but until I do, I still have a to find the perfect one.
All week I had been searching online for something. I found a bag that I though would work. It had a long strap, not too big, not too small, the reviews were good the only thing that made me hesitate was the price, it was a tad pricey but Marc told me to go for it. I think he's just sick of me whining about park bags.
This is what I bought.
It is the Haiku To Go Bag. I think it's very pretty and I hope it works. If it doesn't then I will just use the backpack-y type bag from Wal*Mart. I was all set to use it and I tried it on and was walking around the house with it and Marc started to laugh at me because it apparently it cut across my body "funny." I was not amused.
The bag should be here in a few days. I paid for express shipping and they emailed me today that my bag would be shipped tomorrow morning.
I also put into a pile everything that I'd like to carry in my bag.
Obviously, my Canon Powershot that I took the picture with is missing and Nobby the Gnome. I will also carry my mini tripod in the bag sometimes too but when I carry that, Nobby will be resting back at the resort.
It makes me slightly panicky to bring only one spare set of batteries into the parks with me but with everyday having a break back at the resort I will be fine. I'm an overpacker. My memory cards are in my wallet.
Next up...shoes.
I have been having severe pain in my right heel. The doctor thought it might be a bone spur, but it wasn't. My mom suggested that I get some shoes that are more supportive. I basically wear
crocs all the time lately. I even bought a "fancier" pair of crocs to wear to work. My mom dragged me out to the shoe store yesterday and I tried on some Teva's, Keens & Merrells. Let me just say....I couldn't BELIEVE how different they felt. While I had them on in the store, my heel didn't hurt at all!

Hello, Shoe Crisis.
I didn't buy them at the store because they were a bit small. I loved them but I wanted to see if they had the next size up online. I wear an 11, so finding shoes the next size up, 12 is no easy task.
Of course all of my searching online I couldn't find the exact Teva ones that I wanted in 12...but I did find another pair of Tevas in size 12 and I think the biggest thing is the arch support for my heel.
This is what I got! Thank goodness for Marc's new part time job....
I paid extra for expedited shipping so they should be here by Thursday. Hopefully that will give me enough time to break them in or deem that they don't work. Worst case scenario, I wear my Crocs and deal with the heel pain...which I have been doing for months.
Yesterday, I went to visit Mom for Mother's Day. She's excited for the trip and very much looking forward to the Brown Derby meal. The other reason I went up was to see my brother's new puppy. We had a little puppy shower if you will. You would have thought Mom was awaiting the arrival of a human grandson the way she was pacing before they got there.
Dylan the Boxer.
I love this picture of him and my brother.

It made me realize that my baby brother isn't such a baby anymore. I can't imagine how he will be when it's a "real" baby!
My brother, his wife and Dylan.
He's markings make him look like a little tiger.
One last picture......
Look at that countdown!!
