Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

I woke up at the butt crack of dawn this morning. I had a good twenty minutes before Disney Reservations opened up. So I checked email, checked the DIS, you know the normal time distracting things.

I dialed at 6:58AM. I have a calling card that I use for all long distance so I was a little eager to get all of that information into the phone. Obviously they were closed. So I just kept calling. At 7AM, I get dead air. THREE TIMES. :scared1: Finally, on the fourth try I get Disney.

I probably waited less than 5 minutes for a CM. He was very nice. I made all of the reservations I wanted. :woohoo:  The only things that changed on some are the dates and times that I wanted.

Day 1.
Grand Floridian Tea

Rose & Crown Pub
The CM said they are no longer taking special seating requests due to high demand. I know that when I called for Sept '08 they didn't say this because the CM I spoke with encouraged me to request an outdoor table. Oh well. We'll see what happens.

Day 2.
Le Cellier
I was hoping to get this one shortly after 11 but I made it for closer to 1. Or as earlier as possible. This is probably the biggest disappointment. We wanted to have an early night to gear up for our MK extravaganza the next day. I tried for dinner, thinking I could switch our dinner but no luck. Which I expected.

Akershush
We had wanted to do this way earlier, around 5ish. So we could get back to the resort and relax. I made it for after 6, hoping that we would be hungry after our lunch at Le Cellier. :confused3 I'll have to talk to Jen and see what she thinks. I would be okay with canceling this one and just doing CS for dinner.

Day 3.
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Got the exact time I wanted. I can't tell you how excited I am to ride the boat over to Wilderness Lodge!

Cinderella's Royal Table

This was already made but you have to mention it so you can get the whole ADR picture.

Day 4.
Brown Derby
Again, got the exact time. *Drool*

Narcoossee's

Surprised? I am! This will be my first solo ADR and for some reason Narcoossee's menu kept calling my name yesterday and I decided to go with it. I found lots of food porn as well yesterday and I am so excited to eat here. I wanted this for Day 7 but for some reason it wasn't loaded into the new system. For everything from May 26th on they are using the new system, the second CM I had was able to use both systems so she helped me to cancel my original Jiko for this day and put in Narcoossee's. She really was super helpful and so friendly! She kept thanking me for my patience and flexibility and I kept thanking her for being so helpful. :rotfl: I also asked her about the dress code because the last thing I want to do on vacation is "dress up". I asked her if I wore jean capris with a nicer shirt and she said that is perfectly fine. She sounded like she knew what she was talking about too. :thumbsup2

Day 5
Nothing made.

Day 6
Crystal Palace
I'm worried about this one, I couldn't make it until 8:30. That was as early as she could get me. I'm thinking if I get into the park, get my pictures that I can get to Fantasyland shortly after rope drop. It's not going to take me a super long time to eat solo and I don't really plan on going to CP for the characters anyways.

Day 7

Jiko
We moved Jiko to this day, originally I wanted Narcoossee's this day but it just wasn't loaded into the system for some reason. She said she reported the problem so it would be taken care quickly hopefully. Oh well. I think I am okay with the days switched around.

Day 8
Crystal Palace
I made two, I had the CM check a few days and this was the other available one at 8:30. She suggested I take both that way I can figure out which one I want. I am going to do some planning and call and cancel one of them today. I just didn't know which day would work better for me.

Day 9
Nothing. Though I am thinking about adding Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch before I fly home. :confused3

So there you have it. I have only made three solo ADRs and I think I am happy with that. I don't want my solo time over scheduled and I think I will have some flexibility for last minute ADRs if I want to try for more while I am down there.

What do you all think??

What do you all think??

Sounds delicious! Narcoosees looks good to me too.

I think CP at 8:30 would be fine, you still will get into the park before RD and be done fairly early even if it's not right at opening.

Very jealous about WCC!! I will make it there during gnomefest, oh yes...the skillet will be mine!

Hurrah for getting everything you wanted!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I think they look terrific! As Pooh would say I have a rumbly in my tumbly just reading about where you're going to eat! And I think you hit the perfect balance of plans and flexibility.

I think the tea is a perfect way to kick off the vacation. Can't wait to hear what you think about it.

Interesting that R&C isn't taking table requests anymore. I'm sure there must be a strategy though. If you'll be in Epcot anyway, maybe just check in super early and make the request then.

Narcooses! That is a wonderful surprise. Now I have to go check the menu. I've heard a lot of great things about it!!

 for Brown Derby and Jiko!

Looks great, LL!! You're 90 days away!!!!

It all looks delicious and lovely! I am most excited about your GF tea and Rose and Crown!!! Luckily those are on your first day so maybe you will have that posted before I leave! ;)

That's what I am thinking about CP. We had an 8:15 last time I think or maybe 8:20 and we got in earlier than that and were done in plenty of time for Fantasyland rope drop. I am so looking forward to breakfast pizza.
I'm excited about WCC, that is one place I really wanted to try but wasn't feeling it solo. I'm glad Jen is going with me. I'm not sure if I will get the skillet but the Smores cheesecake will be mine! Muahahahahahaha!

I have a rumbly in my tumbly too. I'm wondering if I could get Marc to whip up some breakfast pizza this morning. :rotfl: I think the tea is going to be great, I am very excited about it.
I am sure EVERYONE asks for a outside table at Rose & Crown. I'll be fine if we don't get one, I heard that they let people go outside anyways and if not I will catch Illuminations on another night.
The pictures I found of Narcoossee food looks simply amazing. I'm really quite excited about it.

:rotfl: If not, I will give you the inside scoop before I leave. I have drag out my TR so I can enjoy it and make it last. :rotfl2:

yay for getting everything you wanted LL!!

Your ADRs sound great! I think I'll take a wander and find out whats on the menu at narcoossee's:rolleyes1

Paula

:cool1:  :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

How exciting. I cant wait until I can make ADR's for my August trip. I miss the 120 day ressies:sad2:

We went to Brown Derby for the first time our last trip in Dec 2008. I have to say I have the same reaction "Drool" but mine was over the tuna steak not the salmon. It was my favorite meal of the trip and my dessert was so pretty I had to take pictures of it before I would eat it:cloud9:

Yay for you, 90 days! You got your adrs. !!! Love, love, love, the poem, very poetic and disney-like! :goodvibes
The only thing needed now is one more person for out photopass share:thumbsup2

I'm so happy for you to FINALLY have been able to make your ADR's Leslie!! You've been waiting for this day for soooo long!

I'm very excited for the tea. I can't wait to hear all about it. Julie, from the Podcast crew, did the tea w/her little sister- you can find that show in their archives w/their review of it. It sounds like a LOT of food actually. I think I def. want to do that during Gnomefest!!

ADR's look great!! Narcossees...YUMMY! DH and I ate there for our 3rd anniversary. Wow, that was 4 years ago already! It was DEEEELISH!!

LL!! You got your ADR's finally!! :woohoo: Now hopefully I won't be singing your ADR song anymore! Narcoosese's, my best friend STILL talks about that place and hasn't been to the world since she was in high school! It's her all time favorite, so I hope it's great for you. Oh man, I'm so excited for you!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: Hopefully you won't have too many ADR changes now?

Yay, LL!!:cheer2: Great ressies!!!!! You're making me hungry...better go and get some breakfast....drool!!popcorn::
Marc made me an awesome breakfast. I went back to sleep after all and I woke up to Blueberry Pancakes! :goodvibes

Thanks!! I am very happy and very excited to try Narcoossee's. I think it sounds delish. It just clicked for me yesterday while I was browsing the menus at work and I'm still happy I chose there.

Brown Derby is so delicious. I had been contemplating making another ADR for later in the week since I love it so much but so far I have resisted that temptation. That isn't to say when I get down there that I might not try for one. :rotfl: What dessert did you have??

I'm glad you liked my poem. I was so excited last night, that it reminded me of Christmas Eve. :lmao: Yes, we still need one more person. Maybe I will come up with another poem. :rotfl2:

I was so happy to make them this morning. I feel like my trip is finally real now. I will have to go see if I can dig that up. I think it's going to be fun for Jen and I...and of course Nobby. I wonder if we can get him his own teacup. :rotfl2:

:lmao: I hope you aren't singing it either anymore, I sing it all the time especially when I am at work for some reason. I don't think I will be making any changes except for maybe adding another solo one if I read a really great review or if the mood strikes me. :thumbsup2

I dont find it on their menu. I think it was for year of a million dreams. It had year of a millions dreams sprayed on the plate in chocolate, had a white chocolate peice with a picture of a prince and princess-It was absolutely delightful-and tasted just as good.

I would post a picture but I am hopeless when it comes to that. Several people have tried to help me-I have tried Flicker and Photobucket-just not gifted when it comes to computers. Go figure-I can run a nursing unit with 150 nurses on staff but cant post a picture on the Dis boards.:confused3

Hmmm. I wonder what it was, sounds delicious. I had the pistachio cheesecake which was very good and Marc had the grapefruit cake which I still regret not having a bit off. Oh well. I am looking forward to trying something new on the Brown Derby menu since they don't have my yummy salmon polenta at lunch time. Hmmm, more reason to make a second ADR there. :rotfl:

If you like Tuna steak it is to die for. DH had New York strip and Double Vanilla Bean Cream Brulee-he loved everything he had. I am debating going back in August. DS and I are going and I just hate to use 2 TS-but it is sooooo good.

Your ADR's look great. I cant wait to see your reports.

We ended up paying out of pocket for Brown Derby when we went in September. I think it's worth paying OOP for because you can use those two TS credits somewhere else. Jen and I aren't doing a dining plan and we are paying OOP again.

Thanks! I love doing these PTRs and TRs, keeps the trip going longer for me. :goodvibes

Yay for your ADRs!! :cool1: Doesn't it feel so good??

I'm new to staying on property and WDW transportation, so tell me about taking the boat to WCC... We are eating there on April 30th. We'll be at AK that day, maybe with a break at CBR in the afternoon (depending how early/late we get to AK). Where do you get the boat from?? We are planning to go to MK after for Spectro & Wishes. Does the boat sound like an option for us either before or after??
