I am going to take an attempt at making my first ever trip report..bare with me if it is not as smooth as others
Soo let me share how we came to the conclusion it was time to book again!
I am a sucker for those commericals that are anything Disney..but especially the newest that plays the good life and the ones that talk about children only be little once..yep that gets me everytime
We had tried to plan a Disney trip last year but money just wouldn't allow it..I have talked since then off and on about planning our next trip. I was talking to DH one day and told him I had a thought of winning the lottery but the only thing I could think to spend it on would be: pay off debt, buy our own home, and take a trip to Disney!! His response was we could do all of those on our own this year..of course my response was we can't take a trip to Disney. Now that wasn't really a question but more of an assurance asker to clarify he just said what I thought he had said and of course it was just that! And I was off from there..as soon as I got home I began pricing and looking at my calendar (I am a Photographer and my weekends fill in quickly with me booking all the way into December of this year!!)..we reached the first hurdle, found a date AND scored that it was in the Free Dining period
Within a day or so I had us booked..but then my Mom brain turned on and reminded me to check next years school calendar. TOTAL BUMMER our vacation was scheduled for the first week of school
then I played with the different ideas..take them anyways..cancel the trip all together..try to find a different week? After doing some chatting and research I came to the conclusion we would have to switch dates or just not go this year..I sent the hubs off to work with anticipation of waiting on him to call me and let me know if he would have the new dates approved
I of course got antsy and booked the new dates instead hoping that it would be ok for him to go..and..it WAS! We had officically set our vacation dates and knew when and where we were going this year
We have decided to keep this a secret from the kids or at least attempt to keep it a secret so we are having to TRY not to talk about anything Disney around them and let me tell ya that is hard...REALLY hard! My brain set in on a whirlwind of planning especially when I found out I would be able to book dining within the next week!!
On to my first item on the list..AIRFARE..I told the hubs I didn't want to drive bc we have flown once and that short 2hr flight was soooooo much nicer than the 10-12hr drive (yes I know it is more but I am thankful we were able to afford it this trip!)..so I researched the different flight times and options for our trip and finally found and booked our roundtrip flights..YESSS one more thing that has me closer to my Disney vacation!!
