Super Soap Weekend 2007

We stumbled upon that last year too. We got pics of the stars with my b/f and Cameron Mathison and Forbes March were so nice to us. We are definately going back there this time.

Sooo, you found the "Secret Spot" thats good, about 6 years ago, there were only a FEW poeple there, some stay there all day. Than word got out, and now its a Mob! If you want to know another "secret" PM me and I will tell you. Forbes gave me a hug and kiss I think he is the bomb!

My Mom's birthday is 11/13 and when I told her I was going back to WDW for SSW by myself she said she wanted to go. We had vouchers from flight where we offered to get bumped this summer so used those for the airline tickets. I'll get her park passed for her birthday. My Mom should be pretty good and go with the flow for the weekend, although she'll have no idea who anybody is!!!

We will definetly have to meet up in Epcot on Fri night. Our flight get in around 4. I tried to get a room at Boardwalk but they were booked. Staying at the S&D would be nice but using DVC is saving me some $$.

Keep it secret but yes. The last 2 or 3 years they have had a dinner in the ballroom. The first year I realized it I had left my camera in the room.....boy was I mad.

I have flown southwest though out of nh. It all depends if someone in my house would be able to drive me up to the airport and pick me up b/c it about an hour away where as boston is only 15-20min

.

Buses run from the Logan Express Park and Ride up to Manchester airport every couple of hours if that's more convenient for somebody to drop you off.

The Anderson transportation center is at the junction of 128/93 and there's commuter rail there, too, I believe.

The website also says they run a shuttle from Sullivan Square.

I REALLY want to go. My parents want me to go so they can have Kate for the weekend.

I'm just freaked out by the airfare. Holy crap, the cheapest I found was almost $850. for me and DH!!

And why are they showing no availability at any of the hotels I want?!?

Ah....I sooooo want to go. This is very depressing.

Your coming from NH? I am coming from Peabody, Ma north of boston. I am cancelling the reservation I have and making a new one b/c the girl I was originally going with bailed on me. I am just going solo now. Did you check southwest out of manchester?

I found the "secret spot" last year too. Didn't get many pictures tho. I left my digital camera at home. I was SO mad. We went through THREE throwaway cameras, lol! It was cool seeing them up close. Most were friendly but they are usually being shuffled off or to autograph sessions, motorcade or the talk show so they were usually pretty worn out. Most did stop and sign a few autographs but the handlers were basically glaring at them doing so, haha.

Don't rumors of who is going usually leak out in August or September? The GH fan club weekend was like a week or two ago and nada came out of it ... I wonder if anything could be slipped at the OLTL or AMC fanclub things?

I can't find any direct flights out of Manchester and I don't want to have to connect and hop around with flights. I'm iffy on Southwest because of the unassigned seats. I'm not exactly a calm person when I fly and not having DH next to me will freak me out.

I'm going to keep looking. I THINK I might have a hotel arrangement that I'll book and keep an eye on the airfare. If airfare doesn't go down, I'll just cancel it and be miserable and disappointed!

With the unassigned seats you can check in online the night before which puts you in group A the first group to board the plane. Then when you get to the airport you go to the front of the line and wait you will be first to board. But I understand you being uncomfortable with it. I was uneasy about it until I actually did it last year.

I hope you get to go. SSW is so much fun, I can't wait to go back. It's great that you are now planning a solo trip. Does SouthWest fly out of your airport? Sometimes they have great deals on airfare.
