Happy Monday all,

I took yesterday off. Yes, Cecilia, I do know how to rest--actually, my natural tendency is to be a couch potato. So having goals is important to me, and since I still have this Minnie to run, I need to keep moving forward.
Trying to rest my legs without losing my motivation/fitness.

Today I did my usual Monday workout--50 minutes of weights/stretching.

Ooops, I was just kidding you. Itend to be a couch potato too, which is why I sign up for so many races - it keeps me moving.

I know its hard to try to rest this close to an event. And I know its hard when you want to run but you need to stay off your legs.

I am always amazed at how crazed I get when I can not run. Probably because I also have these weeks where I can not seem to make myself run.

And,I am always surprised that I can get back out and run after what seems like eons of time since my last run so don't get too stressed while you are resting your legs. You are going to be fine.

Boy am I sore today! I rode for 1.5 hours and SLOWLY ran for 2 miles. I am not going to post time because it borders on slug.

Hi Goofs,

60 minutes for me today, the specifics are below.
40 minutes for c25k, w9w2, 2.85 miles
30 minutes for strength training and ab work using my bean.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Good morning Goofy guys and gals!

I got out yesterday for a 6 mile bike ride and then walked with DH for nearly 2 miles. Needless to say, I am feeling better, more like myself and, yes, snarky cuz I cannot run yet...still...;)

I signed up for Tower of Terror this morning. Once again, just like last year, the password that they gave me for the discounted hoppers does not work and I will have to call...again...boo for that. I hope this is not a sign of things to come and that there are improvements over last year. On the whole, I loved the race. It was on my 41st b-day and at night and so special all around but yet, there was a lot of complaining, during, after and still to this date. It was my first Disney race too so I had nothing to compare it to besides the little 5Ks that I had done locally (by little I mean like 10 people participating not distance wise).

Anyhow, I am VERY excited. I will turn 42 two days after the race and still be in WDW so life is still good. This time DH will not walk, he will babysit so my SIL, BIL and I can run it. I am hoping to pound some serious training in this summer (preparation for the humidity in WDW) and maybe push my SIL out of HER comfort zone. My goal for the race is 8 miles in under 1:30. :scared1:

Hey all,

Did a combo bike/some-machin-that's-like-XC country ski skating stride (that's my name for it!) . Total of 30 minutes and 7.5 miles

Cecilia I should have added a little smiley face. Didn't mean to sound like I was issuing a retort. Thanks for your words of encouragement. You are definitely one of the people I listen to on these boards.

Have a great day everyone!!

9.53 miles yesterday. I got on a bit of a rampage, long walk with the dog before work, walked during lunch, and then 3 miles on the treadmill after work

Rode today for 1.5 hours and spin class for 45 minutes. I am still so sore from my road race Sunday. Tomorrow is supposed to be a glorious day- I am hoping to get out and RUN!

Hi Goofs,

60 minutes exercise today, 30 on the bike for 6.7 miles and then 30 minutes of strength training.

Tomorrow is c25k, w9w3, then I am a graduate! I am excited about this and I can truly say that the program works. Yes, I need to increase the pace a little but to now be able to jog/run on the TM without feeling like I am going to die for a period of 30 minutes, that is really saying something. I will say also that the running this is kinda addicting.

Have a great evening!.

A big CONGRATS to you Lynnielou!!! Happy Graduation!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Congratulations Lynnielou!!

Yes, running is addicting. And races make it worse!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE ENCOURAGING WORDS ALONG THE WAY. THERE ARE A NUMBER OF GOOFS HERE THAT ARE INSPIRING ME!

70 minutes today
40 on the TM for c25k, w9w3 (done!!) 3 miles distance
30 strength and exercising on "bean".

I am still here, and after a week with nothing to report last week, I will update my numbers for this week tonight. Running off to Church in a few, but I will be back!!
