I signed up for something that already has my e-mail address. I didn't realize I had signed up with them so didn't deliberately try to double dip. Anyone know if that causes a problem?

That happened to me recently. It had been so long since I received a newsletter from this one website (probably a year or more) that I had forgotten I was a subscriber. Sunshine offered a signup, so I signed up...and I got an email from the website (not sunshine) that I was already subscribed (though I still haven't received anything). I don't believe Sunshine credited me for it. Or if they did, I simply didn't notice.

I wondered about that too. I signed up for a few this past week trying to get $20 in so I can cash out for the extra $5 :sunny: Anyways, some I have gotten credit for, some I haven't. I don't want to sign up twice, don't want them thinking I am trying to cheat. But, I also wonder if I didn't fill out enough info or something to receive credit and I need to try again. Plus, some I can't remember if I thought about signing up for or actually did sign up for! :confused3 (I really need to write things down). Guess I will wait a few more days to see!

The only time we would cancel someone's account for cheating for something like that is if we found out that they were doing it intentionally. (we have some various tracking tools). If you signed up and they told you that they were already signed up and we just didn't give you credit for it because WE didn't get credit for it, you would be fine. The big problem is when people sign up for things through another rewards program and get credit and then send us their confirmation emails and try to get credit from us as well, pretending that they signed up through us. 99% of the time, the merchant can tell us that you already got credit from another rewards program and are just trying to scam us.

As long as you are honest, all is cool. :thumbsup2

I've wondered about the double sign up thing, too. Because I don't "remove" the offer till I get credit for it. Then I remove it from my offer list.

It's easy to remember the bigger ones, but the little survey kind of ones, I'm getting all mixed up and can't remember which ones I did and which ones I still need to do.

Wow I am so glad you are on here...may I please ask a question. I also was signing up today to try to get to $20 and signed up for the Entertainment rewards program....well I just got an email from my Husbands Inbox account that they credited him for $8. I clicked on your link used my name and email and the inbox is a differnent name and email?????? what went wrong. I was going to click thru the disneyshopping for credit but now I am worried, I also signed up for a coffee deal. Please help. Carol :confused3

I've been trying to figure out what might have happened. I know that there are some rewards programs and other downloads (like screensavers) that can overwrite the links when you click on them and give the credits to other companies. I'm not sure if inbox is one of the ones that does that or not. I've got emails out to a couple of different people to figure it out.

One thing is for sure...always clear out your cookies in your Internet explorer. That is the best way to ensure that you get credit for the proper rewards program. But if you have any kind of spyware or downloads (even like the upromise download or old mypoints shopping reminder) installed on your computer, they may still hijack the links without you knowing it.

I have never had that happen before. I did shop thru inbox at the disneyhopping a few weeks ago and even had trouble getting credit from them took over a week. So for this to be credited within and hour was doublely weird. I hope I get the coffee credit and all the other things I clicked thru today. Guess I won't be gettin to $20 this week. I guess I will just have to cash out of inbox and log off . Very strange. Thank you. Carol :goodvibes
