Sunshine Rewards - I don't get it

I signed up for Sunshine Rewards after reading about it here. I understand the concept, but I don't understand how people are racking up that money!

I just spent close to 30 minutes on one "survey", which was really just trying to get me to sign up for a bunch of offers. It seems like a never-ending spiral and I haven't "qualified' for one yet.

Am I doing something wrong? Any tips?

Thanks!

I would highly suggest that you read the forums over there for specific tips.

As for general survey tips, if you are taking 30 minutes to do a survey, that is way too long. Click no for all but one or two offers. When the next page loads with the specific offer, just click no and submit. You can certainly sign up for one of those offers if you are interested. When you are finished with the survey, check your email (usually in spam) for a confirmation email. Most of those surveys will have a confirm link that you usually have to click in order to get credit. Set up a gmail account and use that for these offers.

Try doing the daily survey and the OTX surveys. Those aren't like the other surveys which are trying to get you to signup for things. The Greenfield and OTX surveys are true market surveys. Between the two you can make $1.55 a day or over $40 a month!

Make sure to run a cookie cleaner everyday before you start to do offers. I use ccleaner (a google search will pull it up easily for you.) Do not do too many offers in a day. Try only 2 or 3 a day.

SR is a great program that can earn you alot of money for Disney or whatever. I know it may seem intimidating at first but it really isn't. Just read the forums and ask questions as you need to and you will be earning in no time at all!

I made over $250 in disney gift cards last year for our trip in May.
I agree if you are spending 30 minutes for a "survey" that is too long. Click "no" to each thing (sometimes there is even a skip for the whole page) Sometimes it makes you click "yes" to something but when it loads on the next page you can scroll to the bottom and click "skip". It usually takes me around 5 minutes or less to complete one of those offers. Check your e-mail, sometimes there is a confirmation email. Sometimes things credit and sometimes they don't. You can retry them in a month.

There are also daily surveys that are actual real surveys. The daily greenfield surveys pay .80 plus there is a montly bonus depending on how many you complete. Also otx surveys pay .75. Sometimes I can get qualified for a survey right away sometimes it takes several tries. Sometime I think I'm doing a survey and it sends me back to the SR page and says I dont' qualify.

Visit the forums over there, they are very helpful. I thought it was kind of intimdating at first too but got easier once I kept at it.

If you have never done Boomertowne its so much easier. I just started 2-3 weeks ago and have almost enought for a $25 gift card. It's a lot clicking but its easier and adds up faster than SR.

Thanks for the tips - I didn't even realize there were forums on there, so I'll take a look!

I just must be picking the wrong surveys or something.

Thanks again!

I never got the whole Sunshine Rewards either.

What the heck is boomertowne? Is it a dating site?

I have tried but can't get it either. Everytime I take a survey at the end it tells me "Thank you, but you didn't not meet the criteria" so I don't get paid. :confused3

One thing is with the daily/OTX surveys you can't go through the questions too fast or it kicks you out for quality control. Slow down and make sure you take your time reading the whole page (even for the simple are you male or female questions).

The other thing to remember is that SR is focusing more on shopping. So check out the merchants to find products you would normally buy and order through SR for some great cash back!

Keep trying. I don't shop much or do paid trials, but I'm at almost $600 for about 15 months. Start with the opinion surveys. There are two a day, and you should have a reasonable chance of qualifying for at least one. They usually take 10-20 minutes and you virtually always get paid.

For the "free" paid offers -- that is the ones where you don't have to buy or sign up for anything, I find that you eventually get the knack of doing them and can get through one in 5 minutes. I click "no" for everything. If it says, I must look at one offer, I choose a contest, email newsletter or something like that -- never one that might generate telemarketing such as new cars, insurance quotes or financial things. On the next page, you'll have the offer that you chose, and you can say "no." With the silver and gold pages, keep clicking the "next page" thing at the bottom.

One reason that it may be taking you so long is that you get a LOT of pop-up offers doing some of these. You learn how to recognize them, so you can just hit the "x" at the top of the page and keep going.

Do you have an Ebay account? That is a really good paid offer. Also, look at the "Automatic Credits" thread and see what everyone is getting. If you're going to buy something, see if going through Sunshine Rewards is possible. Sometimes it may be indirect -- I bought my son's birthday present through SR at Best Buy with in-store pickup. It was pretty much like just going to the store except I got $3.40 in my SR account!

Your computer does have to accept cookies, and the security level needs to be medium or lower.

Boomertowne link is http://www.boomertowne.com/ I had never heard of it either until I was reading a thread on the ebay boards about online survey places. There are no surveys to do here and kind of intimidating at first (like SR) but stick with it. It gets easier everyday to learn how to get points. You get points for accepting friend requests, making friend request, rating jokes, recipes, tips. Visiting different towns on mytown, playing trivia, and playing games (you don't actually have to play the games just click on them), posting in the chat room and discussion boards. It's very easy. I have 23000 pts so far in only 2-3 weeks. You need 25000 pts for a $25 GC to target and somewhere else but I'm waiting till I get to 50000 to get a $50 visa gift card. Most of it is very interesting. You can get up to 1500 pts/day. Sometimes I can't get that much but close. Maybe someone else will come along thats heard of it and can tell you more about it.

Are you talking about boomertowne or SR? There are no surveys on boomertowne that I'm aware of.

do yall get a lot of junk email from entering your email addresses on so many surveys?

The above posters gave you great advice. I've only been doing surveys and the "free stuff" category under "offers by category" under "offers/contests". I've been doing it for less than 2 months and have already earned $82.58. I've cashed out for a $50 disney giftcard and am hoping to reach another $75 before our trip in 51 days.

If i don't qualify for a survey initially, i keep on trying until it says "there are no surveys for you today" or something like that. And i do try and do both daily (OTX & Greenfield) surveys each day.

You can get a lot of mail from some offers. That is why the recommendation is that you have an email (or two) that are just for the offers you do.

Even when it says there are no surveys for you today, there still might be, just try back at a later time, they load new surveys all day (usually!).

Also, you can check "None of the Above" and usually will get some random survey that may not fit into the usual, "Are you blah blah" questions.

Thanks for that tip. I'll check throughout the day in the event that there are no surveys.

For the person who asked about Boomertowne, there is a thread about it for more information - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1824276

I've been a member just a little over a month and am close to a $25 gift card. I am not diligent about it either, I rarely get my full 1500 a day.
