Sunset Pointe Evening Photographs?

Hello!

I've not posted in a long, long while as all our plans changed and we were going to get married in the UK. Things have changed yet again and due to various circumstances we feel Disney was probably the best option all along. Though the wedding will consist of just the two of us

As it may just be us two, we were wondering what Sunset Pointe would be like as a place to get married? We were angling for the 5:00pm slot in December at the Pavillion previously, are weddings allowed at this time at SP? Does anyone have any photographs of weddings or the location as the sun is setting or in the dark?

Hi and Welcome back! Sunset Pointe is personally my favorite wedding site (however I may be a little biased since we are getting married there on Dec 6). We are booked for the 2:30 pm slot. I had thought about the 5 pm slot since sunset is around 5 in Dec and I thought it may make for good shots. My consultant said they usually don't offer the 5 pm slot in December because it is getting dark and with the slope of the hill it gets complicated. My photographer also said that the lighting may not be prime depending on the day. I ended up booking the 2:30 pm slot but have my photographer from 1:30 to 5:30 pm so I figure we can try for a few sunset shots if it ends up being good lighting. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the information and congratulations on your up coming wedding!

I've always quite liked the idea of getting married in the evening, though I suppose 2:30pm isn't crazy early and as you say we could ask for a photographer to stay with us for longer. Though we were thinking of doing the fireworks cruise and wondered if we could get a photographer to take a few shots on there..though I'm not sure if they can, or what they would look like. Hmm..
