Summer 2017 room only and package special offers dropped

Disappointing deal to say the least. Doesn't even come close to the TA deal I booked two months ago.

Paying 146 a night at POFQ.

Disappointing which would lead one to believe that bookings are up and yet it seems they sent out a lot more pin codes than usual. I don't think I have ever seen this many people say they received a "unique special offer" before at the same time.

MY TA deal was still better than the Disney deal!

Mine too! Actually, I am doing a split stay and the TA I used was unbelievable in the discount (almost 23% off a deluxe). I wish she had room for my first deluxe hotel.

I was able to save $900 for my stay at WLCL in July - not great but every little bit helps.

Unfortunately, due to I'm assuming the higher bookings we can't use said unique special offer! We couldn't use the summer discount due to lack of availability and then we (my MIL who travels with us) get a pin code and can't use that either because there is either no availability or the available rooms would actually cost us more than what we are already paying because they are Concierge, TPV, etc.

I think the way to go is book something you are happy with via a TA and try to get their special incentivized discount and then see what happens. We did the same, booked 2 weeks via a TA at just over 30% discount and then modified it once AP discounts came out to a split stay between the TA Poly rate for the 2nd week and the AP discount at WL for the 1st week.

I think with all the construction and changing around plus the opening of Pandora, Disney went all out to get as many people in as possible and the discount codes were enough to prompt people to book. Just remember though, i am sure there are lots of people have over booked their hotels just so they can get what they want and as such will relinquish those bookings. So keep checking!

I was booked with the Savory Summer Offer (1 CS per person per night). Since you can do both the room discount and the Canadian Resident Ticket I can save a decent amount.

I figure the way we will eat, it's better to do out of pocket for food. I figured on a $60 a day for food for my niece (13) and myself. I will also have some free Starbucks Gift Cards from doing Swagbucks, that we can use for drinks, snacks or even a light meal. I was already planning on bringing some snacks and a box of cereal for breakfast.

Depending on what dates FD are and the cost I will see if we change.
