Suite Price

Are suites priced at double adult occupancy like standard rooms? If the suite accomodates 6, and your party is of 4 adults, do you have to pay more for the extra 2 adults? I'm trying to figure out if we should get two rooms or 1 bedroom suite.

From my understanding the suites are priced with the 4 adult max and you have to pay the additional $$ for any adults beyond that. Even if the suite sleeps more than 4. We're looking at the Polynesian Princess 2 bedroom suite for summer 2007 and the Yellowstone at the WL - but we'd have to add on another room for the WL suite b/c there aren't enough beds for us.

We are looking at spring 2007, and there's a possibility of 2 bedroom suite in our future as well. Why don't we watch the thread together, and if we don't get an answer--which I find highly unlikely, I mean the board has never failed me--I'll make a call and find out.

Wow, that is bizarre. To me, if the room sleeps more people you should not get hit with that fee. For example, a regular room sleeps 4, and the charge is after 2 adults. If a room sleeps 6, it should be after 4 adults........
or whatever.

I guess they charge the most they can though.

I wasn't charged for the extra adults I had in my group with the suites we had this past summer. They only resort that hinted of making an additional charge was BC, but as spoken by the sweet CM "since we were paying so much already she would not make the charge." I thought it was a little strange the comment was made since I just assumed we were all included in the price I paid. I gave everyone's age to CRO upon booking these rooms. I think it should be included in the price of suite if you ask me. Double check with the resort and CRO just to make sure, but I think you'll find it's really not going to be a problem. BTW, awesome suite choice!

Unless it has changed this year the price list from the Polynesian says that the price is for 2 adults and has this listed after the prices.

"$25 per person per night for the 3rd through 5th adults in the same room. No charge for children 17 and under when with 2 adults. Rates are for single or double occupancy per room."

I will add that I have seen them not charge for the extra people in the room but I don't know how often that happens.

I know that they charge $25 per adult above and beyond the 2 adults in the regular rooms, but is this true for the suites? What if I book the 2 bedroom Princess suite? How many adults does that sleep and will there be an additional charge? Our party will be 4 (maybe 5) adults and two kids. Thanks!

When I met with the concierge in the Tonga Building they gave me a price list of just the suites and on the bottom of it was the statement I wrote in my message. I would not be surprised if they don’t actually charge the extra but it was written that this was the policy for the suites. The 2 bedroom Princess sleeps 10 (4 in each bedroom and a sofa sleeper in the parlor)

It is strange that the statement says to the 5th adult. Not sure if it was a misprint or they don’t charge after 5. I will see if I can find out more unless you give them a call.

I never even thought about that charge for a suite as well. I have an 18yo and my teens are fast approaching that age as well.

They do charge for the extra adult in the deluxe concierge rooms at the BWI.

Well remember the other kicker is the room tax. I know for the King Kamehameha it is about $200 a day added to the price and the 2 bedroom Princess is not much less depending on the season.

I have an email to the Polynesian to find out the current info.

Wow. I never even considered room tax - yikes! Although the quotes you get at www.disneyworld.com include tax, so we're budgeting based on that.

A one bedroom suite has only 1 bed. The living room has a love seat. A one bedroom suite is large, but is spacious in living area. We stayed in a 1 BR suite last visit (victorian suite at the GF) . There was a huge bedroom with a king bed, desk and large chair and ottoman, a dressing room with 2 closets, a large soaking tub in the bathrom with a small flatscreen tv . When you went into the living room there was a love seat, 2 chairs and coffee table. A larger dining room table and 4 chairs, an entertainment center with surround sound, a wer bar and fridge, a foyer with a half bath (no tub or sower) off the foyer. I don't know how 4 adults would be happy in a 1 BR....it's just that 1 BR. Even though it's very large there is only room for 1 couple to sleep and shower. It's the same as a room, just bigger. You would really need a 2 bedroom suite or 2 rooms with connecting doors.

A one bedroom suite has only 1 bed.

Not all 1-bedroom suites have one king bed. There are 1-bedroom suites with 2 queen beds in the bedroom and a queen pull-out sofa in the livingroom, thus accomodating 6 people.

I don't know about you, but I would hate to be the one sleeping on a pull out!

There is still only 1 full bathroom however. The price is just about the same for three seperate rooms as opposed to sharing a 1 br suite.

I'm pretty sure that there is no additional adult charge for suites, as well as villas.
