What Dan did was not selfish..........
But Browneyes has a point...........each suicide is different. I am still dealing with the fallout of my sister's suicide 26 years later. So I can understand those who feel their loved ones suicide was selfish.

Robin you and Caitlin are in my thoughts and prayers. I know there is a lot of pain for both of you, but I know from reading you post Dan Loved you both very much.

Try to remember that love, that seems to be what Dan wanted. He love you both so much he tried to spare you both his pain.

When we lose a love one a part of us goes with them. Remember the good. {{{HUGS}}} for both of you, death is never easy, and their is nothing wrong with crying. As I read you post my heart breaks for You, Caitlin and for Dan. Yes, I also have tears for the three of you and what you've been through and what You and Caitlin are now going through.

Always gotta get that dig in, don't you EROS??? Even on these threads where folks are looking for support, not your opinion. I know, amazing isn't it that we don't ALWAYS want your opinion.

Robin, I think your troubles may have happened before I found the DIS, but my thoughts and sympathy to you during this extraordinarily diffilcult time.

I pray that everyone you encounter offers support and love to you and your daughter.

No dig intended. Perhaps you haven't had a great deal of experience with terminally ill cancer patients. I have. Physician-assisted suicide CAN afford both patients and family a great deal of peace. Of course, many would personally never elect such a route. That's OK, but it should be available to all.

Actually EROS, I have 20 years worth of professional experience dealing with terminally-ill patients, and, sadly, quite a bit of personal experience dealing with terminally ill patients, so your presumption regarding my lack of experience is incorrect.

Rest assured Robin, that my prayers and thoughts are with you and your child during this very difficult time. I see from many of the posts here that your husband was a wonderful, caring, giving man. What a legacy to leave. God bless him and grant him rest, and God bless you and your daughter.
