I am looking for suggestions to put on a scavenger type list for our upcoming trip to WDW. We've been to WDW enough times over the past years so that my kids know their way around every park and are comfortable, but not so often that we've discovered all the secrets. My kids (and their friends) that are coming are 18, 18, 18, 19, 22, 24, 24, and me (mumble-mumble). We have things like "find the pickle tree" "drink a glass of Beverly" "find a new hidden mickey" "take a picture of mom on spinning teacups" (that one is not gonna happen) "volunteer as tribute at the Backlot Tour" "have a castmember pick the best drawing from an animation class". We have points assigned for each task, and everyone can do them or not. The winner will get a Disney prize of some type.

I know other people have done this type of thing before. Does anyone have ideas for some fun, different, out of the way things that we can put on it? We want to step out of our comfort zone a little bit, try some new things, and really open our eyes and see Disney on this trip. We are going to all 4 parks and Typhoon Lagoon (10 days). Doesn't this sound like fun??:cheer2:

-Take a photo with cast members from 10 different states (name tag to verify).
-Bring back a receipt (of any kind) from each monorail resort or take a photo at each of the resort pools along the monorail.
-Bonus points for anyone who gets picked to be "part of the show" (Hoop Dee Doo, Indiana Jones, etc)

Ride all the mountain rides (Space, Big Thunder, Everest) and since Epcot and DHS don't have mountain rides, add a bonus for Spaceship Earth or Test Track and ToT or RnRC all within one day.

I love this one :thumbsup2 I was trying to think of something to get them into each country. I also love involving cast members! Thanks!

Great suggestions everyone! Keep em coming! popcorn::

OH! I just reread your answer and realized that you said states, not the countries in Epcot! LOL! Maybe we'll do both

I would love to do this, but with the new Fastpass+, I'm not sure this is gonna happen for us until my kiddos are out of college and we can go during the "off" season (if there even is such a thing anymore)

We did a photo scavenger hunt for our wedding guest (not at WDW) but we had things like - dance with a stranger, a photo with a bear, as part of a store display.

At our reception we had the photos as a projection show - so much fun and great to look back at the photos now and see how much fun out family and friends had.

I love that! This trip is a high school graduation trip for my son and his 3 best friends (they've been besties since elementary school) before they all head off to the same university in the fall. I'm gonna write a trip report, add all the photos and turn it into a bound book for each of them. I wish I had written trip reports for every trip to WDW we've taken, but they are soooo much work. Admiration to all the trip report writers out there! :thumbsup2

How about: get a photo of a white chocolate elephant for 10 points. Bring it to me in one piece 50 points.

Ask Donald why he has no pants and take a photo of his response.

One point per each different species of (living) flower you get

Photo of your team recreating the pose of the Walt and Mickey statue.
Extra points for creativity

Propose to a princess on one knee (you don't have to follow through)

Video of your group singing entire Small World song in front of SW building

Get your picture taken with Anna and Elsa - 1,000,000 points

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

This scavenger hunt is a great idea! I love it.

How about
-taking pictures with as many characters as possible
-Eating food from each WS country
-Finding hidden mickeys
-Looking for specific pins or pins that fit a theme
-"The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World" has tons of fun and interesting facts that you could use in some way. A lot of the things from the book are pretty well known and you could probably find lists of interesting things to look out for in the park with a google search. Here's one list: Best Kept Secrets

Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply! So many great ideas. This is gonna be such fun! :thumbsup2

How about?

---listing the different countries shown in IASW
---listing the different greetings at the end of IASW
---identifying one or more historical figure in the Norwegian church museum
---naming the Norwegian runner found outside at Epcot
---photos of the different birdhouses found at MK and AK with their locations
---names of the outlaws on the wanted posters at the Frontierland railroad exit (at least 5)
---Who is listed as the proprietor of the Emporium at MK? ("Osh" Popham) (on a window)

I could go on and on....

Feel free to use the Keyword list found here (scroll down if needed) for my Disney photo galleries to find some possible other items.

Sounds like a great activity!!!

- Take a picture of someone wearing yellow shoes (or what ever colour you like)
- buy something priced under $1.00
- Get a map in a different language
- take a picture of the police patches (found in the firehall)
- take a picture of a red balloon (or one in the sky)
- find some mickey glitter (if they still do this during the parade)
- find something spelled backwards
- get pixie dust sprinkled in your hair

What about trying to find DeVine at AK or the moving statues at EP WS (usually in Italy). You could also do a pin trading, or picture with a ride CM for certain rides.

This sounds like a BLAST! We are doing a grad trip for DS next year and may have to steal your idea....if you don't mind ;)

DH created the "snack detective" game for us. He researched some of the unusual snacks available all over all the parks and hotels. Then he gave us 3x5 cards with clues written on them. The boys and I would lead to go find the snack, and then we'd all share. This way we got to try lots of new things without getting so stuffed. The only problem we had was he had done the research during the holiday season, so some of the snacks weren't available anymore. It was fun.
