Suggestions please for OKW request

I've only stayed at OKW once, in a two-bedroom almost three years ago. My DH, son 22, his friend, and I are leaving on Thursday for a short trip to celebrate my son's birthday. We are staying in two studios this time, as I thought the boys would rather have their own beds to sleep in rather than share the pull-out in the living room. I'd like to be near the walking path to DTD, I think, but would also like a nice view. Any suggestions on where to request our building location? We won't be arriving to the resort until around 12:30am. Do you think we'll only get the leftoves, arriving so late? Also, where does one get the boat to DTD and PO?

To be near the DD pathway, just request the South Point area. The path begins at building 55.

The boat to DD departs from the marina near the Hospitality House and Olivia's.

There is no boat to PO. You'd have to ride to DD and then catch a boat from there to PO.

Building 55 is a great location. We stayed there in 11/00 and were very, very happy with the location.

Our balcony had a great view of the canal, and we were extremely close to the quiet pool. Although we didn't use Disney's buses, we noticed that we were pretty close to a bus stop, and that buses seemed to pass by frequently.

I would highly recommend building 55!

Buildings 45 and 46 are not too far from building 55 (and the walking path to DD) and both of these buildings overlook the Trumbo Canal. It is a gorgeous view and you can sit on your balcony and watch the boats go back and forth. these are our favorite two buildings. Have a great time!!

As DOc said, you would be better off requesting an ara versus a building. You probably be more likely to get what you want.

I just faxed our room requests. I took all your suggestions and asked if our two studio rooms could be located as close as possible, and also if we could be located in the Southpoint section, buildings 45, 46 or 55, as we'd like to be able to walk to DTD. I'll let you all know how we made our with our requests when we get back.
