We will be in Epcot on 4/21 and have not made any ADR's for lunch. We have ADR's for the Princess Breakfast in Norway that morning, and ADR's at Les Chefs that evening. I was thinking originally that we may catch CS in Mexico or just play it by ear -but now I'm wondering if we shouldn't go ahead and make lunch ADR's somewhere since it's our only day in Epcot and I keep reading about all the wonderful places to eat there....HELP! :confused3

We enjoyed the Cantina in Mexico, my favorite Churros are served there!! We also had OUTSTANDING CS at Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion. Great variety of selections, more than just burgers!

With the Princess Breakfast planned and Le Chefs in the evening, I would probably skip lunch and have a snack. At most split a counter service meal. Japan is good as is Harry Ramsden Fish and Chips.

I would play it by ear. The fish and chips is a good option as is the CS in Mexico. Another ADR may also limit you in terms of waiting for attractions.

While I wouldn't do 3 sit down meals in a day, if you are looking for another for lunch, and don't have an ADR, you may want to walk over to the BW and eat at ESPN since they dont accept ADRs. That is usually what we do on our Epcot day since it gives us a nice break from the park and we enjoy the food there. :thumbsup2

There are great CS options in Epcot--particularly in the World Showcase, so I wouldn't worry about putting another ADR in for the day. Just pick whatever country you'd like to eat in (my faves are Morocco and Norway) or check out Sunshine Seasons in the Land.

Sunshine Season offers lovely healthy CS options for lunch. Highly recommend that. We're also going to try Cantina San Angel as well.

Thanks guys - you all have reassured me that not having a lunch ADR was a good move in the first place. You know how it is...you do all this planning months in advance and when it comes down to the wire (4 more sleeps!) you second guees all the planning you have done, ha! We will stick with our plan to play it by ear and use CS for a light lunch!!

We like to share food from China, before they changed the menu

A brat from Germany

Sharing a platter from Morocco

I have to say that Yakitori House in japan is very good CS. My DS and I love to eat there!
We also have eaten at Mexico CS and enjoyed that too. Depends on what mood you're in.

The Japanese is by far the lighter fare, which may be a consideration given the large meals in the morning and evening of your day.

And no one says you can't go to Canada and get a Beaver Tail for lunch! (fried dough!)

It sounds like you are doing almost exactly the same thing we are doing in June. When we go to Epcot we have ADRs for the Princess Breakfast and for dinner we are going to CR with no ADRs for lunch. We figured we would see how we felt after breakfast and when lunch rolled around we would either get a snack or head on over to the Land for their awesome sandwiches.

Ditto! We enjoy all three (Tangerine Cafe, La Kringla Bakeri, and Sunshine Seasons).

If you already have TS that day, I'd recommend keeping lunch open. If you're in Future World at lunch time, Sunshine Seasons is high quality, and nice because it offers variety for everyone in your group. A favorite of my family is to just snack around the world though. We just wander and get one meal or a dessert to share in several different countries, so we get to try alot more! Our favorites are Egg Rolls in China, desserts in Norway, Crepes in France, Fish and Chips in UK, and chicken shawarma in Morocco. If it was my only day in Epcot, I'd probably do that for lunch.

Hmmm.....beaver tail?? Sounds intriguing!
You have no idea!

You can get it with powdered sugar on top, or cinnamon sugar, or chocolate, or warm apple pie filling and other choices that I can't remember. Yumm Yumm!

Ok, now I'm hungry and I want one!

You are correct. Beavertails have been gone for a few years now. A nice alternative are the funnel cakes in America, but they definitely aren't the same. ;)

We've enjoyed just snacking around the world. Everyone can find something that they like, you take your time walking through the Pavilionis and each at something. For us 3 sit down meals would be to much in a day.

I second the Cantina in Mexico. The Nachos are awesome !!
