We very recently enjoyed watching Toy Story 2 & 3, as Disney had the 3 Toy Story movies on their Freeform channel. We saw Toy Story in the theatre when it first came out, as a family. My boys loved it. Fast forward. My sons are grown.

I have not ever seen maybe 90% of the Disney Animated Movies, including the Classics.
We would like to start
" catch up " before our trip in about 90 days.

Our DVD player got ' nuked ' from lightning hitting our neighbor's. The player was in the TV, that was destroyed from the strike.

We have never seen Beauty & The Beast. The HS Musical B & the B Show was my first introduction.

I have tried to watch the Disney Movies on You Tube, but they always come up as ' Pay For'.
Recently , we watched Ratatouille on a YouTube, for free :)

We would like to see The Little Mermaid , & Beauty & The Beast before this upcoming trip.
Did see The Lion King--very 1st Theatre Movie for older son.

I would like to finally see:
Snow White, Bambi, Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Book, Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin, and many, many more.

Would taking the plunge & subscribing to Netflicks be an inexpensive & convenient way,
or is Disney with another Provider?

We could buy a stand-alone DVD player, but all of our local BlockBuster movie rental stores closed some years ago.
And our local library did not have the unseen movies I was looking for.
We won't do Red Box because of potential for Credit Card skimming.

I've seen almost all of the movies that the rides are based on, except one...Song of the South. As much as we love Splash, we've never seen the movie. Need to do it one day.

I'd love to hear other answers, as I don't know what the best way would be.

Get Netflix.

ETA: Netflix doesn't have as many Disney movies as they used to. You might try renting them from Amazon.

Silly me. I expected to be able to watch on the iPad.
It says for Apple compatibility, you need an Apple TV.

Are there any steaming Providers that permit streaming--have compatibility--for Tablets?!?!

Or do we have to go the rent -through -Amazon or rent-through Netfix route,
and have to mail back the DVDs, etc. ?!

Starting in September Netflix will be the exclusive home of Disney movies for streaming. They signed a big deal back in the spring. I'm not sure how many will be available at the start but having Netflix is probably going to be the best and cheapest way to watch Disney movies.

Edit:I was just reading up on the Disney/Netflix deal and it seems like it might only be the newer movies.

Great question - I'd love to show my son some of the older ones like Snow White, Cinderella, etc. I think I have some VHS versions in a box somewhere...anyone have a VCR?? :P

Wanted to add...the Dollarama here in NS has the little story books for many of the Disney stories...I recently picked up Pinocchio, Lady & the Tramp, Aladdin, Lion King, Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Jungle Book, Peter Pan. At least DS will be somewhat familiar with some of the characters and stories!

You can usually find a VCR for around $10 at a thrift store. Odds are good they'd have a bunch of Disney VHS tapes there too, usually for $1 or less.

For Song of the South...if you aren't willing to get the European version and a PAL VCR (which, as far as I know, is the only way you can legally watch it), your best bet is to hunt down the Disney Sing Along Song VHS tapes. Most of the songs from it are on them--I know "Zip a Dee Doo Dah", "How Do You Do", and "Everybody Has a Laughing Place" are on them at some point. This way you could at least get your kids introduced to Br'er Rabbit and company.

Don't forget Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror both have movies. For a good introduction to RnRC, get out your old Aerosmith tapes :)

Netflix forked out a deal to put out the disney movies. That was a while ago but the terms of the contract are starting to kick. Disney also had a Web service y h at let's you buy and stream the flicks. Find a teenager to tell you about running Kodi on an old amazon fire tv dongle and you can just watch whatever you like. I prefer my collection of 3d blu-ray rays.
