I am meeting an old, retired friend of mine at the World on a Sunday morning. Any suggestions for a lovely brunch (besides HOB). Staying at OKW. Thanks in advance. I know my fellow disboarders will come through for me. . . . .

I don't know what time they stop serving breakfast but Spoodles is a nice place to go for breakfast.

Brunch is a tough one in the World. Would you consider high tea at the G.F?

High tea is probably a no go. . . .

But I did not know that they served Breakfast at Spoodles! Can my friend, not staying on site, park at Boardwalk to eat there?

Our favorite WDW breakfast is at Olivia's. We like the sweet potato hash. Nice friendly atmosphere too.

If you are looking for something "lovely" with excellent service and food also still fairly quiet, our other favorite is Grand Floridian Cafe. Lovely Victorian atmosphere, Maple Vanilla French Toast is yummy, other dishes very good too. I guess this would be my choice if you want a more "special" atmosphere.
I'm not sure though if it will be a character meal when you are there, you'd have to check on that.

Another favorite is Yachtclub Galley, they have a small but very adequate buffet, or choose from the menu. Has always been quiet and non rushed.

We tried Spoodles, but you should probably ask suggestions for foods if you go since we didn't care for ours, but I think I might give it a second chance sometime if I have the opportunity.

Sure, can park there is dining there.

When you said brunch I thought you wanted a later ressie than breakfast hours.

I think the Galley Restaurant at the Yacht Club has a fine breakfast buffet and we have eaten there many times and enjoyed it.. I can and do recommend this restaurant for breakfast buffet as well as ala carte items..
